This miniseries introduces Elsa Bloodstone, a teenage girl who never met her father, the long-lived monster Hunter Bloodstone, but inherits his weapons, wealth, legacy and mystical bloodstone artifact.
Accompanied by her late father's Frankenstein-like housekeeper Adam, Elsa learns monster hunting on a steep learning curve, encountering Dracula, The Living Mummy and more.
The series is written with a strong humorous bent, and was likely intended as somewhat of a cash-in on the popularity of Buffy the Vampire Slayer at the time.
After this miniseries, the character went dormant for 4 years or so until she was dusted off and largely reinvented from scratch as a member of Warren Ellis' Nextwave.
Collected in Bloodstone & The Legion of Monsters.
