So she's a decendant of Destiny....who do you think her mom and brother are? At first glance it seemed maybe Moira was her mother and Proteus her brother, but it doesn't fit because Moira didn't die protecting her from Kevin...Any thoughts?

Well I thin her origin will be explained maybe in a mini series, since I doubt Destiny's brother will stay dead.

I definitely get the feeling that Mike Carey is setting us up for a more involved Blindfold story.  At least, I hope he is.   
 
My first thought was 'is Moira her mother', but surely they couldn't keep that hidden for so many years?!  It would also mean that Moira is also related to Destiny.  This would insinuate that Moira died protecting Blindfold from Proteus... I know there have been crazier retcons, but I hope this wont be one.

I think Blindfold is a very interesting character. Her portrayal in Young X-Men was a bit dumb, but Ruth's history is worth exploring.  

I'm gonna do some research to see which characters have dead mothers and dangerous brothers...to be continued

someone mentioned in another thread that they may retcon in order to fit Blindfold into another family.....I hope not.  
I thought maybe she might be a Rasputin since Mikhail is so dangerous....but their parents were killed by government agents wearing metal wolf suits as they were in pursuit of Illyana, so that's a no.
Maybe her parents were Morlocks....wasn't there a scene where a scaley woman was escorted through the tunnels with a babe in swaddling clothes back in the 90's? who's to say she didn't already have a kid and he got jealous?

Hi Chrissstopher! No, he's not a character we've already met. He's a character I'd like us to meet in the future. His nature is very different from his sister's; his powers are not a million miles away from hers, but...nasty.    

I agree about Trevor Chase..it should be him. Maybe "we haven't met yet?" because he hasn't shown up in recent books? meh. I think an original would kill it.

I think you don't get much clearer than 'we haven't met yet'.  Trevor Chase would be 'we've briefly met already'.  I'll be glad to see more new characters introduced.  Especially by a decent writer.

  My question is: Doesn't the line "Someone who you'll never have to meet now" imply that the brother is dead also?
 
I've only recently taken an interest in Blindfold, so I look forward to any new revelations :) 

But how can Trevor be her brother if he's destiny's grandson and blindfold is destiny's great-grand daughter? It doesn't add up correctly.

I love Mike Carey, since he likes to drop little teasers that keep me intrigued: 

You mentioned a brother for Cargill and a sister for Warpath in the "Age of X Communiqués." Are these important characters for this story or just characters that may appear in future stories in "X-Men: Legacy?"

I was just trying to give a sense of a context for these characters. They don't appear in the story, and they're not referenced elsewhere. Having said that, I would like to write Gareth Cargill into "X-Men: Legacy" at some point. The only snag with that is that I've got a brother for Blindfold hovering in the wings, too. If I clutter up the X-verse with too many previously unmentioned siblings, I may get an official reprimand.

I assumed while reading Necrosha that her brother was Proteus.

Boy, her origin is deep. Love what Spurrier's doing with her in Legacy though, it was about time we had some answered questions.

spurrier has answered these questions in legacy 5 which someone has upload a week early
