gorgo's Blade II #1 - The Official Comic Adaptation review

    An above average adaptation.

This is a decent adaption of the second Blade movie. It didn't suffer much from the requisite contraction of the original script to make it fit the graphic novel format.

The great Steve Gerber provided nice writing (based on David Goyer's screenplay), a few cuts above the average by-the-numbers movie to comic work readers generally see.

The art by Alberto Ponticelli appealed to me; although he has a sketchy style, he did a fine job depicting the individualized characters. He, along with colors by Hi-Fi Design, provided the proper atmosphere, moody when it needed to be, and dynamic when the story called for it.

All-in-all, a good package topped off with a fine Tim Bradstreet depiction of Blade on the cover.
