Ted Cleaver, aka Blacklight was a hippie superhero from the 60's who former a duo with his wife superhero, Dayglo. However after a tragic clash with the villian Firepower, Dayglo was killed and Blacklight was left in a coma. After 30 years Cleaver awoke from his coma and went looking for his wife. Confused in this new world, Blacklight was lied to by a man in the shadows, thinking ShadowHawk is the son of Firepower. He tried to fight ShadowHawk, but was quickly killed by him after ShadowHawk discovers his weakness.
However, this was not the end of Cleaver. The dark energy that give him his powers made his corpse stay conscious, unable to die. in his desesperation, Cleaver caused several deaths trying to kill himself, until Shadowhawk and the new Blacklight (Lina Juarez) banished him to the dimension from where their powers came.
