    Leaving The Skies

Blackhawks has delivered a great super technology military type story so far, does writer Mike Costa continue to give these characters personalities and add onto a deep story?

    THE GOOD:
I really like the art. It's very detailed but it is sketchy and I really like it when a comic book has lines for shadowing on character faces and everyone else in the book. In this issue we get to see a little bit of what is happening to Canada and Wildman. They are in a high class city that is revealed to be made of peoples memories and though. We also get to see Titus turn the Blackhawks base into a huge mess. I really like how Mike Costa is giving all of these characters personalities. They all feel different and I really like it. These are characters that don't have to always win like Superman, or Batman. These are characters that could die, get a limb cut off and many other things. So I'm glad that the writer has done some of that but you still feel that the characters are good a have a deep history.

    THE BAD:
I already know who the villain is, and I'm really wondering why the character will be a villain to the Blackhawks, because in this issue, I think the villain seems really nice, so I'm wondering what is going to happen to this situation.

    THE VERDICT: 4.5/5 (Amazing)
I got Blackhawks because it was different and I really wanted to see some soldiers in comics instead of superheroes. Mike Costa not only gives you those characters, but he makes them believable and very likable. I know that this book may not be selling as well as some other books but it seriously is worth everyone trying it to see if they like it. I think if you like high tech war stories, then this is perfect for you. If you like comics but want something different from Superman, Flash, and Green Lantern, then you will like this.

The Story: Titus attempts to escape the Eyrie…or at least it appears that way at first.  My Thoughts:Blackhawks was a series I didn't pick up initially. I was late to the party and picked up the first and second issues last month. When I read them both I was impressed enough to continue following it this month. Unfortunately the series sort of lost the flare it had. This issue wasn't horrible, but it wasn't enough to satisfy me. Mike Costa is the series writer. I've never read anything from him ...

      Nanocites are awesome! 0

Synopsis: Who is Mother Machine? Meanwhile, Titus makes his move on the BlackHawks. What's Good? After a reenactment of the movie, Up with some dogs, Mother Machine is finally introduced to Canada and Wildman along with her plans. She doesn't appear to be a genetic villain like in any other comic. As I wrote before in issue #1, nanotechnology plays a role that wouldn't be that exciting in any other series (maybe in Mister Terrific) just because of the possibilities of using nanocites that's expl...
