Lady Blackhawk takes the center stage
Synopsis: The Blackhawks goes up against a cyborg ninja.
-What's Good?
Again, it's pretty cool seeing a group that originally fought bad guys in World War II in the old DC Universe now in the modern age as a black ops group fighting terrorists and people enhanced with nanocites compared to seeing superheroes. We get to see the group in action once more taking on a cyborg ninja along with seeing more about the mysterious group that the BlackHawks are fighting against.
Trevor McCarthy joins Graham Nolan in the artwork this time around, and with McCarthy, we have a pretty looking issue. The design with the characters and suits look great. I was also impressed by the violence taken place as well.
-What's Bad?
Like the first issue, characterization is a bit lacking in this issue, or rather, Mike Costa is just taking his time. Take Lady Blackhawk for example. There's a sense that's she a no nonsense kind of woman.
Overall:
Again, it's going to be a while before we fully get all the personalities of each character, and I'm longing to see Zinda Blake in this series, but the second issue is still enjoyable.
