    "This is my moment!" 0

I'm going to start by addressing what some of the haters/critics will say about this issue. "So predictable." To that I will respond that most logical stories are. You can predict it because it makes sense and/or was foreshadowed. If there are plot-holes or lapses in logic then you get a lot of your "shocking" moments. Granted, there is a way to write a logical story and still provide shock, but it's harder in this day and age of endless speculation. That's not to say Johns couldn't have do...

Blackest Night Enters the Home Stretch with a Thrilling Climax 0

Blackest Night is the hottest storyline arc going right now and the only bad part is that its coming to an end.  This epic, intense, and enthralling battle has further proven Geoff Johns as DC's "go to guy".  This issue, second to last in the main arc picks up with the uneasy alliance of all available DC heroes and villains, as lanterns.  So far, its not looking so great and Nekron has the upper hand.  Hellbent on destruction, his forces are getting stronger and he exposes a secret the Guardians...

    White Lantern Corps 3

Previous reviewers were very good (and relish) in discribing of all the benefits and advantages of the new issue of Blackest Night. I also want to apologize for criticizing the previous number. I doubted how all this stuff with rings would work. Now, after a dozens of tie-ins and one month without ACTION (only Green Lantern #50 is noteworthy) I have to say - yes, this event was in production since 2005 (s!ck it, Siege).   All strings, all the plot lines, all the events starting with GL: Rebirth ...

    Fly, My Monkeys 0

This is the best issue of the event so far the art is simply fantastic Ivan. Reis' pencils combined with the colors of Alex Sinclair makes this one of the best looking books in my opinion Johns dose  a great job of writing each character the way he writes lex with a power ring is frightening and he truely does a great job with sinestro showing how arrogant he is and how big his ego if SPOILER WARNING: Click here to reveal hidden content. you have not picked this up then what is wrong with you...

Revelations and the Greatest Lantern 0

First off, wow.  In Blackest Night #7 Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis stepped their game up.   The issue starts with Nekron belittling the Guardians about preserving life but not living it.  There's an incredible page showing the Lantern Corps "leaders" and the deputized lanterns trying to fight Nekron to no avail.  Scarecrow and Luthor bring some great moments in this book as well.  References from secret origin make their way into the book, specifically between Atrocitus and Black Hand.  I don't wan...

What we really want to be 0

The action here reaches its boiling point as the heroes continue to fight the Black Lanterns with no end in sight (they are outnumbered several billion to one).  With things as dire as ever the reinforcement of every Lantern Corps member from every Lantern Corps arrives, but is still not successful in stopping the wave of black.  Black Hand unleashes the most unexpected of all entities, to which the Guardians provide some sense of importance, and an unlikely hero steps forward.  This is just abo...
