Okay I've been here for at least two years now and I never posted anything, but THIS made me react.

So let me get this straight (no pun intended)

In the ultimate universe jessica drew is actualy a clone of peter with ALL his memories so as far as we know when he/she woke up he/she was thinking of himself as a boy but then he has no problem talking a girl's name, dressing up as like one and even MAKING OUT with johnny storm (which is his friend not just a random dude) and no one should ask questions????

Don't get me wrong, it's not about being anti-gay or something, it's just that if tomorrow I wake up in a woman's body, I would still think of myself as a straight man and I would have taken YEARS of therapy to deal with the new situation, and I'm 25! At 16 I would have use it to enter a girl's changing room, not kissing my best friend!!!

Am I the only thinking that the fact he/she seems to be quite okay with his/her sexual identity kind of weird...?

The kiss wasn't actually shown, so Torch bragging about it could be simply a lie. He was interested in her, but she tried to avoid him.

OK then, but still, what about the rest?

How can a 16 year old boy deal with the fact that he is a clone and above all that he is a FEMALE version of is original self???

For example, what would have happened to X-23 if she had all the memories of wolverine, thus being him (kind of)? I don't think wolverine would be okay dressing like a teenage girl... 0_0

and just out of curiosity, because I didn't read all about him/her, is this this question even raise in the comics or nobody cares?

    Oh you... ^^

@KillerZ: Ok well I'll keep on reading USM and we'll see what they do with him... The thing is I actually think that he/she could be an interesting character to develop because of his/her complexity on so many levels, but it seems like Marvel has has created something they're afraid to deal with in an intelligent and "realistic" way...

yes she did but she doesn't have any of his memories so I don't have any problem with her thinking of herself as a woman.

The thing is if she ever has a relationship with a guy that would mean that Peter was bi in the ultimate universe >.<

I personally can't see her going for the boys. I hope she gets more screen time, to house all those weird stories that can be told of her.

Also: moved it to under Ultimate spider-Woman forum.

Ultimate Spider-Woman isn't Peter Parker, she's a clone. Created from the same DNA, she and Peter have very different personality's. Though I still haven't read the last two issues of UC:S-M why is it addressed there?

I never he/she WAS Peter Parker, I said that since he/she had ALL his memories at the moment he/she came to life, from her/his perspective it would be like being Peter Parker all your life, a 16 year old teenage boy, and then the next day wake up in a girl's body and being told that you're a clone of the real one. Of course with time you will develop your own personality (kaine is the perfect example) but I personally think that you can change the way you think about yourself in a snap of a finger. If you think about the situation in spider-"woman" point of view you'll understand what I mean

I imagine being a clone doesn't mean the sexuality is the same

It's really not as complicated as some people make it out to be. She (and yes, she would be considered a she in the same sense that X-23 is, not a he or an it) initially woke up after being cloned believing she was Peter Parker, yeah, but literally immediately after that she started getting her own memories and adopting her own traits. So rather than being a guy in a woman's body (which would be pretty awkward all around), she's a chick in a chick's body with a guy's memories.

She actually brought it up pretty recently. It was basically made clear that, over time, the Peter Parker memories she had faded so they're pretty fuzzy at this point. The experiences she herself had overrides them.

As for sexuality, I dunno. It's been touched on a few times. She made a crack about it to Peter once but didn't really give a clear answer, and I think it was implied in Ultimatum that she had some feelings for Kitty Pryde still. I guess it would make sense. That said, experiences she's had as well as her female physiology could easily have made her develop an attraction to guys, too. So no, it wouldn't mean ultimate Peter is bi - it'd just mean she evolved on her own as a character, which is much more feasible imo. But yeah, if I had to guess I'd probably say she herself is bi, but Peter wasn't.

I would really recommend you look for a fan parody comic called Spidercest, written by someone called Tracy Scops. It deals with that exact conflict, by taking it to the sexual level. Warning, though: It's an explicit pornographic comic. It's currently on issue #2 and I particularly find it very cool (not to mention arousing, too).

@mad_dog: no It wouldn't. She is biologically a female so it makes sense that she would be attracted to males even though her progenitor was one. Her sexuality would have no bearing on his

@killerz: @mad_dog: I was thinking the same thing that must be odd but at the same time Sw born /created a girl so her hormones ,pheromones, body and all the other stuff are saying it's ok to have feelings for the opposite sex it's not like his body was just changed. But to be honest I have fully read ultimate Spider-Man I'm not really a spider family fan aside from kaine in his Scarlett spider run he is a badass Spider-Man with hidden blade like bone spikes
