Black Panther
Character » Black Panther appears in 3340 issues.

Using his powers and abilities, he has pledged his fortune, powers, and life to the service of all mankind.
Who should play Black Panther and/or Antman
@spideysense44: I don't get it. You post mismatched battles in the general discussion forum, and general discussions in the battle forum. If you're trying to give the impression that you're a troll, you're doing a marvelous job.
BP - Idris Elba definitely
Not sure about Ant Man
Not a battle, btw. @god_spawn, @vance_astro, @deranged_midget
@spideysense44: Stop posting things in the wrong forum. Next time I'll just start issuing warnings.
first off the one for spiderman was a question not a battle I asked if he could fight one of the justice league members I never said spiderman vs. so and so this is the only one I messed up on
micheal jai white is a great fighter and portrays black panther fighting style but he is like 40 and I think marvel may need someone younger especially if they want a sequel but that's just my opinion id hav no problem with idris or michael

That's true, on one side, he "is a legitimate holder of seven black belts of varying degrees in seven different Martial Arts forms" (citation from the official Michael Jai White web site), but is already 40. Idris Elba is not a martial artist, but looks very similar to the King of Wakanda, and his performance is not worse than Michael Jai White's.
@cyberwarrior: The only problem is idris plays in Thor :(

I've forgotten about that :) , as they are both placed in the Marvel Cinematis Universe, this might get a bit fishy...
lol casting BP might be harder than I thought I mean when he has on the suit you can have a martial artist inside but I personally think it would be better with an actor who can do martial arts alone

I googled Elba, it turned out that he and Jai White are peers.

I say Elba has the voice and the physique, though I'm not sure about martial arts. Another thing is that Elba has the ruthlessness and the harder edge to pull off T'Challa.

What about both of them? Elba as T'Challa and Jai White in action scenes? XD

Hah I'd watch that.
No...just no for Elba as BP. I love his work and all, but he just doesn't fit for me...I need someone younger a little slimmer build and preferably from Africa to play T'Challa
elbas in thor :/ it would be confusing
I say replace Heimdall with someone else. Elba's awesomeness shouldn't be contained to such a minor supporting character!

Have you read Christopher Priest's BP run? I don't know, me personally, I think Elba would fit that incarnation of the character perfectly.
your right elba shouldn't even be playing heimdall they say he might play green lantern in a future justice league film and new james bond

John Stewart? I'd much rather see him be Bond, honestly.
@veshark: me too John Stewart is kinda ehh for him and are you a cap fan? bc they just did the captain America movie panel just now

Yeah, I'm checking out the latest news on that panel right now ;)
u heard about AGE OF ULTRON MOVIE
I'm really hoping it's just an Ultron movie...not a direct adaptation of the comic....
yea I hope cap runs the team this time
I actually liked the way Whedon wrote the team in the first movie though. Cap was kinda the 'leader' in the sense that he gave all the orders, but it seemed more like an equal team partnership thing.
u heard about AGE OF ULTRON MOVIE
AGE OF ULTRON movie!? Tell me more!

Oh boy, you're out of the loop haha!
That's the title of the Avengers sequel, as announced by Whedon in SDCC.

Thanks for the info. I thought I was going nuts!
@veshark: Yes, I've read Priest's run. I think Elba would be decent as T'Challa but I'd rather have someone younger play the role.
@cyberwarrior: its all on marvel.com they announced it yesterday

I just saw 42 last night, I think Boseman would be good.
Damn shame that Djimon Hounsou is all ready 50 years old otherwise he would an absolute perfect T'Challa. Perhaps cast him as T'Chaka or S'yan instead
Otherwise I think Chiwetei Ejiofor is solid choice if he's not too old (36). Assuming they want to go with a young T'Challa just taking over the throne he might be. Michael B Jordan would be the youngest (26) best actor I could think of for T'Challa. But rumor has it he's the new Johnny Storm.
