The cover A is amazing. Having White Ninja sneaking up on Dinah and threating her with a dagger. Which while she has been an ally to Dinah but on this issue, even Dinah doesn’t know if she can trust on her. The colors are great and there is lot of detail to the cover which gives the cover an awesome look

Cover B

There isn’t a cover B in this issue.

Plot

On this issue start to deal with aftermath of the last issue with some detectives question Black Canary´s band members about what happen with last issue. Where it´s reveal that Dinah is somewhere in Berlin but she needs help of the rest of her bands. But this time is not for concert since Dinah is force to fight and it´s being held captive with Vixen by Greyeyes. Where they had to team up to White Ninja to escape. They are successfully but Dinah learns that she shouldn’t believe on the White Ninja. And returns to Gotham City (which it´s explained in Batgirl).

Art Style

In this issue, it´s done by Sandy Jarrell which is very similar to Annie Wu which is great because it´s give familiar look to the characters and there isn’t big changes. Aside from Bo Maeve maybe have dyed her hair. While we didn’t see Vixen in a costume but rather in civil clothes, Mari looked very similar to what she usually looks.

The Good

Black Canary´s Mythos

This issue try to give a Mythos to Black Canary and Dinah´s Mother (she is unnamed on this issue). It´s implied that they is some legacy between them which is cool because in N52, there isn’t much legacy and even her mother wasn’t Black Canary. But Dinah has unknown technique named “Five Heavens Palm”. I hope this could be explore better later or in Rebirth.

Grudge Match Homage?

This issue seems to be homage to Justice League Unlimited´s episode “Grudge Match”. They are lot of similarities with this issue and the episode.

Vixen

Vixen was great guest character in this issue. I specially love that Dinah and Mari formed a friendship. I would like see her more on this series or at least being carried on with Rebirth.

White Ninja´s Identity

So White Ninja´s Identity was sort of revealed. We know she is Dinah´s aunt named Rena. So she isn’t Sarah Lance so far.

More Mystery

This issue bring new mystery to the table. Like what will happen to Black Canary´s band members? Who is after Dinah? (Maybe League of Assassins) Can Dinah trust her “aunt”? Which makes people want to continue to read to discover the answers.

The Bad

Canary Cry disable

Dinah had some kind gadget that didn’t allowed her to speak neither to use her Canary Cry. Which is third time in this series that someone disable her Canary Cry which makes very easy to disable. At least Kurt and Greyeyes use some tech to do it while White Ninja used a possible a poison.

Greyeyes

She is really forgettable villain and didn’t knew she had a named until I read the second time. Her name is mentioned twice and her minions call her headmistress at least twice. So far cool thing is has some degree of control of electricity. But then she look alike older Dinah if she took fashion device from Mad Max´s character, which having some hope she could be Dinah´s mother, she doesn’t have anything special to be remember by.
