Cover A

Cover A is amazing, we see Dinah vs Bo compete against each other on stage to see who outshine the other. Dinah wears another version of her classic costume while Bo wears outfit that looks alike her style but I have to say that I think Bo´s clothes looks something a young adult could wear. The colors are beautiful together and have sense of familiarity with covers of Black Canary. Plus Dinah and Bo looks amazing and bad ass.

Cover B

Cover B is Halloween Special Cover. It´s Zombie Black Canary and also tribute to IZombie since it´s done by the same artist. I like it but I personally think would be better if Black Canary was a Banshee or a Harpy or a Siren since would be creatures that would be related to her most.

Plot

I amn´t disappointed on this issue, far from it. But I was expecting Dinah vs Bo´s fight and instead of we get a “filler” issue. It’snt bad thing because finally set other thing in motion like the band mystery and more character´s development. But it also builds for Dinah vs Bo especially on last part of issue, sadly that we need to wait another issue to see what happens next.

Art Style

There is new artist instead of Annie Wu doing the art for the rest issue, its Pia Guerra and Sandy Jarrell did also some pages as well. But their style is almost very similar to Annie Wu that you almost don’t notice the difference. In fact issue wasn’t Annie Wu doing the issue and I didn’t notice the difference. Art style is very similar which is great since gives character and the title a familiar look but of course characters had some redesign but all characters look great. But I really have to mention the last page, it absolute divine and awesome especially because how the colors works perfectly with each other.

Good

More Character development

On this issue, you get the chance to learn things about the characters. Like Dinah still doesn’t feel that she is good Idol even with all success that the band has been having. We meet the Lord Byron´s family and Ditto and Paloma don’t see Bo as bad person.

Family Angle between the band

All members of Black Canary seem to be more connected almost as family. This is big difference with how the series started plus Dinah had great moments with all members which showcase how nice Dinah is to the band and how close she is with them now.

White Canary´s Mystery

We still don’t know who White Canary is but they are still building the mystery. On this issue, there is some hints that Bo could the White Canary. Also she did something to Dinah but it´s unknown what she did, but I had to guess, I would say that she did something to Dinah´s Canary Cry.

The Band Mystery

Dinah taped into band mystery very briefly on this issue and it shown no one knows why this band is formed in first place. I would like this was explored sooner but I am glad this was explored and not skipped.

Bad

The Fight doesn’t happen

So yeah the fight doesn’t happen which is bad since last issue build this hype about Dinah vs BO and this issue´s cover even show Dinah and Bo competing against each other. But at Bo shown that she has good pipes to compete with Dinah´s Canary Cry.

Paloma´s New design

She looks odd with this design. Before she looked more tomboyish and she looks more feminine. This isn’t bad thing but looks a bit weird.

Flo

Flo once again just drives the band and she never speaks or do anything important in this issue. At this point, she seems a useless character and anyone could replace her at her job. I am sorry for saying but I don’t hate or dislike her.
