Why does he want to kill the messiah baby?
Bishop
Character » Bishop appears in 2977 issues.
Lucas Bishop is a mutant from the 22nd century that traveled into the past, becoming a member of the X-Men, and later, the Uncanny X-Force. He has the mutant ability to absorb and redirect any kinetic energy that is used against him or that is released in his general vicinity. He is the first black male team member within the X-Men Universe.
Why does bishop
The baby becomes a rallying point for mutants in Bishop's time line and it leads to a huge human/mutant war, the humans win and the mutants get put into concentration camps. If he kills the baby it'll make the mutants die off instead of rising up, and he will never have to live his horrible life.
At least, that's how I understood it.
"Gambler said:Hahahaha!"What the hell have they done to Bishop? He use to be cool."Remember when he shot a huge hole in Mr. Sinister's face? Those were the days..."
"i remember when bishop was an awesome character.*Blasts huge hole in Sinsiter's face*""Double-tap. The only guilt I feel is not having prevented you from bespoiling these hallowed halls." Pure bad-ass. Even Sinister commends him for it.
that was a good moment
"What the hell have they done to Bishop? He use to be cool."Seriously.
I mean, I took a leave of about 5 years from the X-Books but when I finally got around to reading Messiah Complex....damn Bishop sucks now.
I remember back when he showed up and Bish, Malcom and Randal just cut through a bunch of Fizroy's buddies like they were nothing. All the bad guys were scared out of their wits at this guy. I remember Bishop going toe to toe with Sabertooth and coming out on top. He was so awesome back then.
Not so much anymore :(
