Birdy wants to Fly

Birdy briefly partnered with the homocidal mercenary known as Sabretooth. She was hired because of her powers. She used her telepathy to temporarily soothe his homicidal rages (an effect referred to as "the glow.") which led Sabretooth to become dependent on her.
Eventually Birdy wanted to get away from him, but she knew he would never led her go. She then sold Sabretooth out to a mercenarie whom sended a death-squad towards him. While Sabretooth was attacked, Birdy was hoping to get away. Her plan failed and Sabretooth managed to grab a hold on Birdy. Unlike Sabretooth, he did not kill her, but asked her to help him in finding out whom hired the death-squad. This eventually let them against Graydon Creed, Sabretooth's son. Just to spite his father, Graydon shot and killed Birdy. Without Birdy's telepathic suppression, Sabretooth was left unchecked and went on a killing spree.
During the time when Sabretooth's mind was reduced to a child-like state he was reminded of Birdy while he was in the X-mansion. Her death brought much pain to Sabretooth while he was in that state.
