razzatazz's Beyond Wonderland #6 review

It's that place in your head

This series is evidently not quite as good as the first.  The first could be seen to be a standalone series, and this series serves mostly as a bridge to the third series of the trilogy.  The problem here is that the series seem to almost know that and to take that as it motivation.  It would have been nice as the finale to this series to have a bit more resolution and a happier ending like in the previous series but that is evidently not meant to be.  In its favour the focus here does return to Calie and her own struggle with her past, though with the eventual birth of her child this propels her on the road to her future.  That future is not exactly what is expected though but in so doing serves as the background for the third series in the trilogy.  This was still quite entertaining, but left me as the reader wanting a little more.
