Proper Japanese Title: 別冊少年ジャンプ
One of the first spin-off magazines of Weekly Shonen Jump, after a few years it was rebranded as Monthly Shonen Jump which lasted for several decades. Initially the featured material was mainly one-shots or reprints of series that ran in early WSJ (like Otoko Ippiki and Harenchi Gakuen), as well as some TV-versions of popular manga from WSJ like Dokonjo Gaeru and Mazinger Z. The magazine did manage to bring in some larger names creating original material through a series of autobiographies from major authors (including George Akiyama, Tetsuya Chiba, Hiroshi Motomiya, Fujio Akatsuka, Fujiko Fujio, Shigeru Mizuki, Leiji Matsumoto, Shotaro Ishimori, Satoshi Ikezawa and Mikiya Mochizuki). It also launched the first truly popular Jump series from outside the main magazine (Captain) which remained a major feature in MSJ after the name change. Several other authors who later became really popular in WSJ released some of their first serials here including Norihiro Nakajima, Yoshihiro Takahashi and Buronson.
