i like the DD mask but im nt sure its Scarlet though

I liked Scarlet Spider but he should stay dead.

I hope it's an entirely new Scarlet Spider.

It looks interesting, but im thinking its someone from spider-island who still retains the spider-man powers after the event im guessing.

Marvel is not really good at hiding its plots from people. The costume I like so far but think the person should have matching pants with the costume. something to really bring out his eyes... >_>

since marvel's december solicitations are teasing the end of spider-man maybe it is peter parker using the scarlet spider persona!

It looks like a cross of Ben Reilly and Miles Morales.

I want to see Ben return, but I'm not sure how I feel about that new costume yet. Personally I don't see what was wrong with the old one...

They wont replace him, if anything thats Pete in a new Identity after Ben comes out with the "I'm Spiderman"

I really really don't think that Marvel would be crazy enough to replace Peter as Spider-man...that was their biggest mistake with the Clone Saga....I don't think they'd do that again

@War Killer: it looks like the same costume same except the red spandex has been turnes to black, hopefully they'll keep the webshooters and the pouches on his legs always though that looked cool and it would be pretty cool to see the various poses of him changeing cartridges in mid-air. Also it looks like the red area on his hands are fingerless gloves over the black spandex probably with built in web-shooters

Ffs, why Marvel, well as long as they don't kill Pete, or make his not the real spidey anyway thing. or it could be a new character which I hope and thin because of this:

I like Ben but I don't think he should come back

i have heard some people saying that we don't know if this new spider character spins (pun intended) directly out of the spider island story line but the fact that point one and asm 673 are coming out in the same month is awfully convenient. I hope that it is ben, he should never have died in the first place. spidey could use some backup that doesnt involve the avengers!

i'm having this strange feeling that the new scarlet spider is going to be MJ, i think if it is her than we can kiss good bye to seeing Ben back anytime soon. This would be the best time to bring him back but i just feel that it won't be him. I hope i'm wrong, although i would like to see MJ keep her powers

I wondering why no one seem to think that the new scarlet spider maybe Kaine, after all from my understanding Kaine is said to have a big role to play for many things spiderman for now on.

@gethere: i believe he will have a big role in the new year but i have a feeling he will not be the scarlet spider i think he might be the guy with red mask, black hood and massive sharp things sticking out his arms

@gethere: yeah your right sorry i forgot about that teaser, it must be kaine who will become the scarlet spider the only problem is hes a little dark and crazy unless they change his personality with events of ASM 671, i would like it to be ben but i think i may be clutching at straws, i like kaine so i will have to settle i think

@gethere: Kaine hated Ben though so him taking up his identity doesn't actually make that much sense

@danhimself: ben reilly didn't call himself the scarlet spider it was that reporter, so it called be a similar situation with kaine, keep in mind that he is still a clone of peter. though it would be funny if he dyed his hair lol!
