    Deep In the Mind of Madness 0

    Frazer Irving really is the perfect artist for these covers. They're so dark in tone, and rich in odd detail, and of course the way he integrates Madder Red's soon-to-be-iconic face into the image in some way. This issue it's a bit more subtle, but it's there. And complimenting Irving's covers is Riley Rossmo's insane interior art. It's kind of the opposite of Irving's cover work, in sort of a yin-yang kind of way. It's loose and sketchy, but that works wonders for the tone and looks so great.Th...

    Less good but still good 0

    The good The series is very mysterious. We don't know what to expect, especially with the main character (is he a bad guy now or not?). Spencer is known to slower build stories (check out his morning glories, we still don't have the big picture). It can be a good thing, like in morning glories, but it could be bad like in Ultimate X-men. With this series, although we are only at issue 2, we know he's plotting something big slowly and it works. It's not a perfect rating because it only focuses on...
