    Origin

Bebop was just a regular human thug in a New York street gang. He sported a purple mohawk and shades. Soon, Bebop and the rest of the crew were hired by the evil ninja named Shredder. Shredder used Bebop and the gang to fight the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but the lackies were defeated. Shredder used mutagen to transform Bebop into a stronger version of himself. Bebop then assumed the form of a humanoid warthog.

Bebop alongside Rocksteady served as members of the Foot Clan loyal to Shredder and Krang, but after the events of "Final Conflict" both mutants were transported to a primitive world where they lived among the animals and decided that violence was not in their nature after all, they dedicated themselves to the wild and upon a short return to Earth they "liberated" the animals from a New York city Zoo, and while holding the TMNT at gunpoint, took Krang and Bellybomb on their spaceship, but not with the intent of rescueing the alien warlords, but rather on the way back to their newfound home, Bebop and Rocksteady returned Krang and Bellybomb to their prison on dump world.

    Creation

Beebop along with his partner Rocksteady were created and designed by Peter Laird. This was not done for the comic series however and was instead done for the toy line that was being made by Playmates. They were later added into the first Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon show and given their names and, their personalities. Their origin story was written by David Wise based on instructions from Fred Wolf (the producer of the cartoon show to "put more mutants in the series".

    City Fall

Along with his best friend Rocksteady, Bebop was chosen for mutation by Karai after she stole mutagen from Krang on Burnow Island. During the City Fall storyline, Karai appears with the two brutes as the Shredder and the Foot Clan are under a surprise attack by the Turtles and their allies. They quickly turn the tables against the Turtles as Bebop lands solid blows on Raphael and Donatello. He soon suffers an invisible attack that drives him through a wall. At the end of the fight, Bebop and Rocksteady are blasted with a grenade by Old Hob.

Vs. The Turtles and the Mutanimals

Later, Bebop and Rocksteady meet Pigeon Pete whom tells them about the mutant army his boss Old Hob is putting together. The two brutes decide to check it out once they hear that "turtles" are a part of the gang. They then decide to smash open an ATM machine to buy some food before the fight.

They later come across Old Hob and the Turtles; before a fight can break out Old Hob attempts to reason with them by stating that they're only slaves to Shredder. Old Hob changes his mind about them joining when they reveal themselves to be half-human. Hob responds by shooting Bebop in the stomach and Rocksteady in the face, thus the fight begins. Bebop holds his own and even helps over powers the two teams, punching one of them across a city block on to a roof.

He then suffers being electrocuted and is later beaten together with his partner. They then leave when they see everyone has left and Bebop promises to Rocksteady they will keep their defeat a secret from Karai.

    Attack on the Technodrome

The Shredder enters into an alliance with Donatello to attack the Technodrome realizing that Krang is the greatest threat to his one day rule of the planet. However, he doesn't trust Donatello completely, therefore before departing to Burnow Island to confront Krang and his forces. He leaves Bebop and Rocksteady on a special mission to watch over Donatello, warning the Turtle he will have his two henchmen kill him at the first sign of treachery.

On Burnow Island, Shredder's forces are immediately ambushed, and he engages into a death battle with Krang. Bloody and facing certain death, Krang reveals to Shredder that he was betrayed. Later, he issues the orders to Bebop and Rocksteady to kill Donatello. The fight is rather brief; Bebop engages in the fight first and receives quick assistance from Rocksteady. Bebop attempts to kill Donatello but is blasted from behind by Metal Head, which leads to the robot suffering serious damage at Rocksteady's hands. Bebop prevents Donatello from making his escape as he hits him with a computer monitor and then pummels him.

Rocksteady then lands the crippling blow to the Turtle, bashing him across his back with his sledgehammer and smashing his shell. Bebop and Rocksteady then walk away leaving the Turtle for dead, as they receive new orders from Karai.

    Vengeance

The Foot Clan are currently in disarray after suffering a huge defeat. Karai names herself leader with the Shredder being thought dead. Bebop along with Rocksteady are attempting to search for Hun whom Karai thinks has deserted them. Karai tries very hard to maintain moral and discipline within the foot, then suddenly Shredder returns with a new plan to kill Splinter after establishing a shaky alliance with Baxter Stockman. Karai sabotages Shredder's plan in order to keep the Foot's honor in place, and thus strikes a deal with Splinter for the Turtles and himself to battle the Shredder and his mutant minions in a tournament called the Gauntlet, where the winning team will face off against the leader of the losing team. Bebop and Rocksteady answer the call to do battle.

Bebop along with Rocksteady, Koya, and Bludgeon lunge into battle with Bebop doing pretty well getting the best of Leonardo, and with some help from Koya, his team quickly gains the upper hand due to their superior strength. The Turtles regroup but this time Bebop suffers a laser blast to the face from Donatello in Metal Head's body; then Bebop and along with Rocksteady finds themselves strictly facing off against Raphael and Michelangelo. Raphael puts together a plan that sees the two brutes destroying each other in their attempt to kill them.

Despite their best efforts, Bebop and Rocksteady have plenty of fight left, plus they see through Raphael's scheme. In a last ditch effort, Donatello in Metal Head's body, self destructs in a kamikaze attack to bring them down, and in the process have his mind restored to his originally body. The two brutes are barely conscious, until Donatello teleports to the battle in his real body and finishes them both off with strong Bo strikes.

    Skills

Bebop like Rocksteady is a master with heavy weapons, he though seems to prefer machine guns or smgs. He is a brawler who seems to know some boxing but not much. He seems to be the more accurate one of the two with guns, this is shown by him using a sniper.

    IDW

Bebop is immensely strong and is capable of taking on the entire Turtles team. He carries a chainsaw and uses his strength for a big advantage. He's a vicious street fighter and will use any object around him as a weapon to get the job done. He is also very durable being able to withstand being shot at close range in the stomach and face, survive an electrical attack, missile attack, and even a building being dropped on him.

    Relationships

Bebop is a little more scared of Shredder than Rocksteady but like Rocksteady seems to think their on friendly terms. He likes working for the foot clan, and hates the Turtles with a passion. He and Rocksteady are best friends and always enjoy eachothers company.
