Mike Marts: The glint on Batwoman's hand isn't a mistake in the coloring… all I can really say at this point is that not everything that appears to be shiny is necessarily shiny. Expect some bumps on the road ahead.

Glad to hear this and that Maggie will keep her major role; I'm curious what the bumps will be. (Maybe there's friction between Jamie Sawyer and her future step mom? A temporary break up?)

Conspiracy theory, number 11,203,455: at the time this picture was created, Batwoman was going to marry Maggie. The story we've been told about DC refusing to allow her marriage is in fact worse than commonly known: DC was initially okay with the idea but then someone influential and bigoted enough shouted until they pulled the plug. They then had to tell Williams about the change, causing the big argument and departure, but someone forgot to inform the artist of the above picture until it was too late. DC will now muddy the waters and survive "Glintgate" by factoring in a gold ring to Batwoman's story, somehow...

I wouldn't be surprised, although if so, Marvel will be laughing even more with how smoothly Astonishing X-Men #51 (Northstar's wedding) went. It's not like there's no precedent for a same sex marriage in comics. (Hear that, DC?)
