Amy Reeder Is J.H. Williams' Equal 2

It had to happen eventually, but I'm still sad to see it finally happen; Batwoman has had an issue that wasn't utter perfection. Now I know there are people who were worried about the transition from the god J.H. Williams III to.... anyone else, but that is not the weak point in this issue by any means at all. Amy Reeder's artwork is just as much a visual delight as Williams' is. Maybe it's Williams writing, but the panel layouts manage to capture the same quality of artistic genius to the point...

Not a complete loss W/O Williams on art! 0

Let's be honest: "Batwoman" has, up to now, been sold primarily on the strength of J.H. Williams' art, and the strength of the previous run of "Batwoman", which was written by Greg Rucka. Up to now, this relaunch has had the same BEAUTIFUL art from the prior volume, but as far as writing is concerned, the book hasn't felt anywhere near as strong as a whole as it did when Rucka was writing. Granted, Rucka's shoes are difficult ones to fill. So yeah, up to now this series had been merely decent in...

What Happened To The Story? 1

I was curious to see how this months issue of Batwoman would fair without J.H. Williams III handling the artwork as well as the direction the series would be heading. Surprisingly my issues with this issue were pertaining to the story and not the art. I'm really not sure what the writers were hoping to achieve with this issue because by the time you're finished with it, you feel like you've gone nowhere. The issue opens up with Batwoman fighting a man with a hook arm that lasts for three pages. ...

    Batwoman, Agent of D.E.O. 0

Batwoman has been through a lot in the pat five amazing issues of her own series. Now that she is working for the D.E.O. and a new artist, Amy Reeder is on the series, does this issue stay at the rank as it was before.  THE GOOD: The art is okay in this issue. I think it would be better if we weren't use to J.H. Williams III art but the art in this issue is solid. I really like the way the characters look in this issue. The story is still continuing on from the Weeping Woman. In this issue we ge...

    Kate's New World. 0

Synopsis: A recap of what's been going on in Kate's life.I don't exactly consider this issue a start of a new story arc per se. It serves more of a mix of both a catch up for new readers and a new direction for Batwoman, something not exactly seen in a Batman title. With Kate working with Chase and the D.E.O, her life gets turned upside down a bit. There's her cousin in the hospital in serious condition, her relationship with Maggie starting to become rocky, and now she's on a mission to get to ...
