An incident like what? 
 
The Batmobile needs to be a versatile vehicle, not just fast.  The Bugatti Super Sport may be one of the fastest cars made (to date) and Batman might be one of the few people who can afford one.  However, the Batmobile needs to do more than just go fast in a straight line.   
 
Also, since there would be very few people who could afford one, then it would also compromise Batman's secret identity.  All you had to do is hack into Bugatti's client list & see how many Gotham City residents had bought one recently... Bit of a give away ;)
