    The New 52 Adventures of Batman

    The "New 52" initiative relaunch of Batman starts off with a year-long story from the critically acclaimed team of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. Starting with the eighth issue, the title received a backup feature. Under Snyder and Capullo, the series quickly became acclaimed by critics and fans alike, and was regularly amongst the top-selling, if not, the top-selling monthly title from month to month. The title would be considered the linchpin of the Batman titles, spawning crossover events such as The Night of the Owls, Death of the Family, Zero Year, and Endgame.

    In September 2013 DC had all its books focus villains alongside the crossovers Trinity War and Forever Evil and number them by '.1', '.2' and so on up to '.4'.
