Batman
Character » Batman appears in 23106 issues.
Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the murder of his billionaire parents as a child, swore to avenge their deaths. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
Do you think that Batman is Bruce Wayne or that Bruce Wayne is Batman?
This is a bit difficult to answer, it requires a certain degree of a psychological experience, but his trauma was obtained from its childhood when its parents were murdered, he grew up without parents making him anti-social at some certain degree, the pain he carries is the pain within Bruce Wayne and Batman is literally the son of Bruce Wayne and its pain which merged through a mix of frustration and recognition over an incapable/incompetent society, I think that in the very deep, Batman doesn't care about the society, rather he wants to show the society that he's is the real example in providing order and justice.
Coming to a conclusion from my own side, what he does is more personal and Batman is the strange entity within the society which brings order.
No, no, you've got it all wrong. Clark Kent is Batman, Superman is Wonderwoman, Naruto is Papyrus, Vegeta is Amy Rose and Shadow is probably a pony from My Little Pony, or something.
Whaaaaa... ???
Dude... how SaturnShot say... you've got it all wrong !!! But it look like that SaturnShot don't read comics which comes after Owl in Storm Saga( in that story everyone was convinced by Mad-Hatter and Scarecrow that Clark Kent is Batman), or he forget about it.
After Owl in Storm Saga, comes Order of the Bat where Dr. Leslie Thompkins discover Bruce Wayne secret identity, and identities of people related to Batman same as his true identity !!!
Things actually going like this:
- Bruce Wayne is The Joker
- Dick Grayson is Oracle
- Jason Todd is Knightfall
- Tim Drake is Bluebird
- Damian Wayne is Penumbra
- Barbara Gordon is Nightwing
- Stephanie Brown is Batwoman
- Cassandra Cain is Strix
- Harper Row is Red Robin
- Kate Kane is Spoiler
- Mio is Robin
- Charise Carnes is Red Hood
- Curtis Base is Batman
- Mary Turner is Orphan
@saturnshot: do you read Order of the Bat ??? Please help me explain, if you read it !!!
Okay, okay, I was wrong. I'm sorry. Naruto is actually Catwoman, the Joker is Elmer Fudd, Mario is Captain Price, Bruce Wayne is Meg Griffin, Dipper was the author of the journals, This was That, no, not That, THAT, the Master Sword was Toriel, Hank Hill was Pearl, Yellow Diamond was Orange Diamond, Green Diamond and Purple Burger fused together and finally, Batman was... me. I'm Batman. Also, I don't even know what Order of the Bat is. I don't read the comics, but I know a fair amount. Now... where did I park the batmobile...
C'mon kid, everyone one knows Batman isn't Bruce Wayne, he's collection of elect T.H.E.B.A.T operatives working under the Kane and Figure act of 1939. You really think one man could handle the scum of Gotham, even more you think a hotshot trust fund baby gives a damn about costumed villains and is busting his ass for the common man? Get real
@saturnshot: this comment is awesome on so many levels.
Something's wrong with CV's polls. Right now 33% voted for the first option, 33% for the second, and 33% for the third. 33+33+33=99. Where's the other 1%?
But... Bruce Wayne restrains himself whenever he's in his civilian identity. He's only really himself when he puts on the cowl.
This is brilliant. What issue is this from?

Wonder Woman Annual #1, from her Rebirth series
@jayc1324: Thanks. I've been planning to read Azzarello's n52 Wonder Woman run for a few years now and now his origin has already been retconned with this. Comics man....
@onemoreposter: no problem
Bruce Wayne is just the mask Batman wears
Accurate and ironic.
Bruce Wayne is just the mask Batman wears
Bruce Wayne is Batman and then Batman is Bruce Wayne. They're one and the same, but Batman feels like being Bruce Wayne is a mostly unproductive chore that supplies him with expensive gadgets.
@deathraymcdeath: how is being Bruce Wayne unproductive?
This is a tough question that requires you to dig deep into Batman's mind and comic book history. I'd say that Batman is just wearing Bruce Wayne as a mask to the public which is quite ironic when you think about it but that's what seems to be the case. The true Batman is someone who just wants to save the world and fight crime, not the billionaire playboy that he acts like. Bruce Wayne died when his parents died in Crime Alley all those decades ago. Further proof is when Batman and other heroes put their hand on the lasso to say their real name and Bruce said "Batman".
@apewar012467: So he's basically acting the Bruce Wayne persona that's why mean right
