The wait is almost over, friends. In less than 24 hours, Batman: Arkham Origins could be yours to play. Despite the initial concern over Rocksteady not being behind the project, it looks like Warner Bros. Games Montreal has done an impressive job taking over the very awesome franchise. We won't know for sure until we get out hands on it, but at the moment, we're pretty darn stoked and have high hopes. This week, we wanted to know if you share our enthusiasm or if this is a game you can wait for... or even skip. Well, the votes are in and a majority of you will have it sometime on launch day!

It's pretty difficult to imagine many gamers on this website actually resisting this one. The hype behind the third Arkham game is enormous and they've done an absolutely brilliant job marketing it. The immensely powerful TV spot? 17 minutes of gameplay? The beyond epic launch trailer? It's all looking mighty fine and we just can't wait to dive back into Gotham and beat up some goons. Collector's Edition + Season Pass + Midnight Release + 17 Days of Vacation = yeah!

Unsurprising given the hype of the Arkham series. Ah well I guess I'll have to wait til Christmas to play this game.

It's always difficult shifting from the eternally awesome Batman/Joker dynamic to focus on others in Bruce's rogues gallery. I haven't been interested so far (I've always felt part of the whole point of Batman was that his villains are physically weaker than him, I don't like the Bane/Kroc/Deadshot type enemies) but I will give it a look sometime after release when the price drops.

With the next gen systems coming out so soon, I'm holding off on all the recent non-exclusives since we're more than likely seeing "HD" versions of all these games within the next six months, especially with them already setting the precedent for DC games with Injustice.

Also, the entire concept of prequel games drives me nuts since characters will invariably have more moves and better gadgets in them than they do in the games that take place further down the time line.

I really hope they keep up the sheer amount of Easter Eggs they had in other games

I think I'm going to wait for the version with all the DLC already on it to come out, and then wait for that version's price to drop. So, I probably won't be playing it until next year.

I actually saw a walkthrough (couldn't help myself) and it looked pretty good, but there were a few parts that looked kind of disappointing. One of these things that I can say without spoiling too much is the fact that some of the assassins, like Deadshot and Lady Shiva, aren't even main bosses, they're just side missions. That being said, there are one or two nice surprises that I saw in the game as well.

While I've just heard that Steam has added some 6 hours on the release timer, it's definitely coming out sometime tomorrow on Steam (can't check exact time myself as it is currently pre-loading).

@kangaxx_54: What I've heard is that we who buy the disc (or whatever the term is) have to wait for November 8th.

Hmm, that'd be weird. I just did a quick search, and Amazon has the PC disc version set for oct. 25th. So maybe there's hope for you :)

@kangaxx_54: That's...very odd. According to Amazon UK I won't be getting my game until circa two weeks. Oh, well. Will be interesting to check my mailbox every day for the next few weeks :)

Just found this. You're right, sadly. Apparently it's only in the UK, where physical PC and Wii discs will be delayed.

@kangaxx_54: That's what you get for living in Europe. I shouldn't have ordered it from the UK just because it's cheaper. Oh, well, maybe it was all of Europe otherwise I'm mad.

Well, I'm from Europe as well :). I only play PC though, and every single **** shop here carries games for every console under the sky, and if you're very lucky two old PC games. So I've started simply buying on Steam and gog.com. They're reliable, pretty cheap (with the sales), and there's no hassle with discs. If you you have the bandwidth and a credit/debetcard I'd definitely recommend it to you.

Thank God. i was about to be pissed! On a better note, i only had to pay 40$ for this game b/c im buying a digital copy. Yay me ^___^

I did the same. That huge spoiler through me off, wasn't expecting it. I also liked the cameo scene from that special person and that level in general looked cool.

Im not sure if it is just repetitive fly about and fight. ......

Played a couple hours when it unlocked on Steam at 9pm PST. It is good but I'm not quite feeling it yet. The new larger Gotham feels kind of sparser than Arkham City did. Indoor areas look amazing mostly thanks to great lighting but the city feels just kind of boxy and a bit empty.

Some continuity stuff is kind of bugging me a bit too. Like you start with the grapnel boost, which lets you launch off buildings at high speeds. It is integral to getting around the city quickly but it was supposed to be untested prototype hardware in Arkham City so its a bit strange its par for the course in Arkham Origins.

I am enjoying the game but it hasn't hooked me yet. Maybe when I start running into the assassins the game will pick up a bit.

I'm going to get it.

Very excited. School is eating my time and my money so I might not be buying until a week or two from now. But I will most certainly be buying it soon.
