Venom, Kingpin, Hush, Joker, and the Juggernaut....bitch
Batman
Character » Batman appears in 23630 issues.
Bruce Wayne, who witnessed the murder of his billionaire parents as a child, swore to avenge their deaths. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts, detective skills, and criminal psychology. Costumed as a bat to prey on the fears of criminals, and utilizing a high-tech arsenal, he became the legendary Batman.
Brutally Honest: Who Is Your Favorite Villain?
My favorite villain and even my favorite character is The Joker. He's pretty clever, but obviously completely insane at the same time. His personality, mentality is really interesting. I love Batman the animated series, and watching the episodes with the Joker, you never know if he is gonna walk the old lady across the street or just go completely nuts. Living in Denmark, I don't read a lot of comic, if any at all, sadface. So I can only speak of the villains I have seen in the cartoons :)
My favourite villain is Eddie Brock/Venom because of the hatred that the symbiote and Brock share towards both Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Another favourite is Sabretooh because he is basically Wolverine's rivil and he is bad ass. And one more Hush or the Joker. I dont know who I prefer out of those two.
I would say Joker. Just because he's the perfect mix of insanity, chaos, and genius. He's a murderous psychopath but in a way where the majority of each death leads to the affiliate of that charcter falling right into his trap. I also like him because, in the case of Batman, he really gets to know his enemies. Like how tall Batman is, how he talks, his mannerisms, etc.
1. Dr. Doom: theres a reason darth vader was modeled after him

3.Sinestro: C'mon! His Mustache is just as evil as him

Thanos of Titan has got to be my pick for right now, he is not the most powerful villain ever but he is both powerful and clever. After obtaining the Infinity Gauntlet not even the combined efforts of the Avengers, Silver Surfer, Adam warlock, and several of the greatest powers in the universe could stop him. No what finally thwarted Thanos was his own ego. After becoming one with the universe through the power of the gauntlet Thanos was so convinced of his unstoppable power, that he mistakenly ignored his corporeal form long enough for the surfer to slide the gauntlet of his hand. And why does Thanos want to rule the multiverse? Because this guy is so ego-maniacal he believes it's his birthright! On top of being hulking in size and ego he looks just plain bada$$, let's face it one look from those soulless black eyes and that ugly purple puss not to mention his Incredible Hulk-like frame and he'd have bane peeing in his venom.
As far as pure bad guys go, it's gotta be Scarecrow. His mind games are always portrayed so fantasticly. No matter which medium he's portrayed in, whether it be Comics, TV, Movies, or Video Games, he's always unique and fantastic.
Past him, I've got a bunch of former villains and anti-heroes. Mystique, Magneto, Freeze
i'm gonna say joker cause he may seem like just an insane psychopath, but he's actually trained in whatever type of martial arts and knows batman's every move....he even knows how batman (bruce) moves, he knew that dick wasn't the real batman in b.a.r #13 he killed jason, paralyzed barbara, and did other terrible things, at times his jokes are kind of funny. The joker has always found a way to escape death: the last issue of "a death in the family," batman r.i.p., the animated series version btas and he knows his identity, but ultimately loves to mess with batman's mind...I also like sabretooth he's taken wolverine's love away twice i think, messed with his mind saying he's his father or brother...just one of the ultimate enemies who's tried to kill wolverine so many times, but hopefully he comes back from hell when wolverine goes to hell in his new volume.
Mr. Sinister
Ra's al Ghul is definately in the top five. But Mr. Sinister takes the #1 spot in my opinion, because he has the genius of Reed Richards, combined with the resources on par with Ra's al Ghul and possibly Vandal Savage, and has pretty much had a hand in every covert weapons program (human or otherwise) since the modern age. He is like the Palpatine of the Marvel Universe
HANDS DOWN THE JOKER!!! think about it.a hero is only as good as his nemesis, and nobody (AND I MEAN NOBODY!!!!) dose it better than the joker.that why batman is so freakin awesome!!!plus, batman and joker are two sides of the same coin.batman-scarred (mentally) by watching the murder of his parents thus becoming batman who seeks justice at just about any cost,& the pursuit of protecting the innocent.joker-scarred (physically & mentally) thus seeking vengence ON the innocent & batman.and what makes joker better than all other villians,is he dosent play by the rules.what i mean is,normal villians are always trying to just kill the heroes.lex just wants superman outta the picture, magneto will try to kill the x-men if they get in his way.but the joker DOSEN'T want to kill batman,he wants to brake him.thats why he destroys everyone who could possibly be close to him.he blew up jason todd, paralyzed barbara gordon then mentally tortured jim gordon only to kill his wife later.hell in the hush story arc, clayface disguises himself as a resurected jason todd & the only reason the joker was down was cause it would screw with batman's head!!!thats why he wont kill him,& its probably the reason he dosent want to know batman' real identity, which i think he already does.he wants to turn batman into what he,and the rest of the rogues are,a killer.& he will destroy, maim, mutilate everyone AROUND batman just to get him to do it.having a blast the whole while!lmao!know thats evil!!!!
Mr. Sinister. I'm not going to go so far as to say that he is understated.... he hasn't had that much exposure in comics to have anywhere near the same notoriety as the Joker, or the Green Goblin, or Doctor Doom, or such revamped villains as Sinestro and General Zod.
This is a character who, from his inception into comics, was a Nazi, having his lab-grown mutant clones slaughter the off-shoot of his failed experiments - the Morlocks. The company he keeps around is always rather questionable.... the Marauders and the Nasty Boys.... they're all pretty one-dimensional tools who don't seem intelligent enough to have any kind of agenda, they exist to do Sinister's work.... making him feel largely superior. In the mid 90s, he was given his Apocalypse-associated origin story, where he rejected the moral boundaries of scientific research to achieve the next step in human evolution... driven on at first by the death of his ailing four year-old son, and then by the potential resources he found in allying himself with Apocalypse. He's my favorite villain because of the opportunistic nature he represents.... and just because he's too cool for school.
I am the one who added to the top of his page, that he is essentially the Albert Wesker of X-Men villains. I put that in there because for newer generations who are relatively unfamiliar with Sinister, can relate him to the iconic Resident Evil arch-villain, who I believe, was predominantly inspired by Mr. Sinster. Wesker injected himself with his assistant's (Birkin) T-Virus, giving him advanced regenerative properties as well as the usual super-strength, stamina, and speed. After his "rebirth", Wesker turned his sights on genetic perfection, where he would go to great lengths to steal Umbrella's research, and the scientists that would follow. His style, his mannerisms, his charm...... all match Nathaniel Essex.
Ultimately, it's the Joker.
I have much love for Dr. Doom and Magneto, but the Joker comes up on top especially when he's written well. The Joker always steals the show, he always leaves a great long lasting impression. One of the key factors that makes the Joker an all time classic villain is his innate ability to entertain, his chaotic nature always is wickedly fun. The Joker is not out to rule the world, he just wants to raise as much hell as he can for the sole purpose of making misery into his very own monologue. I don't think there is any other villain that plays as well against the hero as the Joker does to Batman.
pinhead from hellrasier and kid marvel man from the alan moore revamp of marvel man back in the 80s .
others would also be alex from a clock work orange and patrick batemen from american pysho .
from marvel would be guys like bullseye , magneto , venom , mister sinnester , the brood and cassandra nova from grant morrisons new x-men run .
and that's just my marvel list of bad guys who are extremely talented and utterly deranged
this list would go on and on ......
Ra's Al Ghul wants to destroy the world to save it from its self.
Magneto wants revenge and justice for the crimes that have been and still are committed against his people and himself now and during WW2.
there are few things more dangerous than a villain with a cause.
arnold wesker both the villain AND the victim.
I know i'm kinda late but I would also have to say that the Riddler is one of my favorites as well. The fact that he constantly uses his riddles and puzzles to try to get Batman was always interesting to me. I love doing different types of puzzles and solving tricky riddles, it's very addictive. I would also have to say Magneto is another (No further explanation needed). Both are two totally different villains but they're still awesome!
Karen Clancy from the Swamp Thing series was a great villain. I really hate Kimura from the Marvel Universe, because of what a despicable person she is. That WOULD make her a great villain, but I do not care for her, for the same reason.
"I'll go out of left field. I like Kimura. She's not a big name, but she's so damn EVIL. I love it. "
Not Yet, but can you imagine her working with someone like Dr.Doom, Mr. Sinister, or even the Hellfire Club with her track record.
Rulk has been interesting recently. Norman had a good run. But over all I have to go with Lex Luther or the King pin for the same reasons. Masterminds finding ways to manipulate or exploit weaknesses.
But ma fav is zoom or reverse flash especially after rebirth and he got his own speed force... doomsday has some points too tho
Well, I'd go for Kraven the Hunter. Generally, I prefer heroes who don't project energy, or have extraordinary powers but rely on their brutal power and intelligence..
I also like the Marauders team, e specially Harpoon!
my fave villian is hard to choose its between the joker, the riddler, the green goblin, and lex luthor.
My fave has to be The Joker tho
"im gonna have to say red skull..... he is the the most realistic villain in marvel and one sick evil bastard! "
