Yesterday while watching Ironman: Extremis I realized: most of the badazz things about Batman are really lifted from Ironman. Without the unlimited tech Bats would hardly be considered formidible against real heavy hitters.
Well, of course.

Was gonna post this ;( I don't know of any other exoskeletons he has.
On a slightly related topic, which exoskeleton seems more powerful between those shown in the New 52 thus far?
For now, in the New 52 were shown two armor of Batman. This armor, seen in Batman and Robin, and the one that appeared in Batman 9. For now, the armor of Batman and Robin is more powerful than Batman 9, because it showed a lot more strength and endurance. Terminus, as you can see in the pictures, is very strong, capable of destroying a road, a car, and use a light pole like a baseball bat.
This armature, is equipped with the repulsors very powerful, able to fly Batman a very high speed. Batman was strong enough to deflect the path of a nuclear missile.
In Batman Return, pre-Incorporated, Batman used another armor.

@Moon_Bat_87: @chromebug: yep. kingdom come. artist alex ross.
Sorry guys it's from Justice, an absolutely fantastic 2005 maxi series by Jim Krueger and Alex Ross. Very silver age in style and lots of fun.
This on the other hand is the Batman armor as seen in Mark Waid's Kingdom Come (also illustrated by Ross).

Lifted from Iron Man? Does Batman not predate Iron Man by over 20 years?And of course he wouldn't be formidable against heavy hitters without tech but neither would Iron Man, Lex Luthor, Green Arrow, Hawkeye any GL if you took away their rings or any other character who doesn't have powers.
@Jack Donaghy : Yes. Batman is older than Ironman. Did the first issue of Batman have Batman in a flying suit of armor? Wasn't Batman using shark repellant for a good bit of those first 20 years? Super couldn't fly at first, then he could eventually. Bats started wearing high tech suits of armor at some point AFTER he was created. I argue that perhaps they got some ideas from, you know, the character who's whole concept is high tech armor.

I still don't understand why Bruce doesn't wear the Insider suit (a bat logoed version of it anyway) anymore. The more clunky suits I can understand because they don't exactly appear very stealthy.
Its power source runs out too fast cant remember what issue it was that's why he didn't wear it all the time.

Well Tony stole Bruce's playboy persona so fair is fair right?
@GodDamnIronMan: agreed,lots of the old ones were really......primitive.I mean all of them had giant wings and a jetpack,and stark can just blow those off and he will fall to his doom/disadvantage.Because to be frank,batman does use his intellect and skills.But without tech he would lose against almost anybody (PIS is usually how he wins,and really! He is one of the smartest people on the planet and he just runs around in kevlar...I thought he was really lame and weak before).

But it isn't really lifted from Iron man at all.The thing is that without tech he would just win because of WIS.
No matter how much skill and intellect he has,if he had as much as it seems he wouldn't have such low tech.I mean seriously,most of his tech is less sophisticated than the Iphone 5.With all that intellect and he still runs around in something the local police station wears.He was always lame to me.But yeah,one thing I can agree with BTBATB batman
is that upper cuts are no substitution for the proper tools.And with the team batman is on and the people he has faced......

lol you do realize that without his armor Tony is MUCH weaker than Bruce, right? Bruce doesn't need super powered armor to fight crime, Tony does.

@PsychoKnights: I dont think so. As far as I know shes never appeared in anything except that one issue of Generation Lost

At one point yo're right about Bats. He does use his skills and brains more often...But he is neither weak nor lame. Fighting crime with Kevlar without heavy armor doesn't mean that he will lose to anybody, it's just he don't want to hurt anybody in the city... very different from Ironman's POV. But still, when it comes to combat, h2h...Ironman will TOAST Bats...

LoL...of course Tony is weaker than Bruce...Bruce traveled around the world when he is in teenage. What's Tony doing? he just enjoy his life and banging hot chicks. It's about head start.
@GodDamnIronMan: Of course I know this,but if he doesn't have proper tools or anything when he is on league missions,I don't see how he would win against anybody.Saying he uses brain and skills or whatever still won't help him.His average smoke pellets will not work on everyone because not everyone is an average street punk.If he were to go against usual heavy hitters iron man level,then he would lose.But wearing an iron man armor in black with bat ears is not how he is supposed to be anyway,but he better have something other than kevlar to fight crime.

which means?...
@cameron83: Ya of course. Batman got to be the master of all 127 martial arts is becuz he dedicated his time on it...but at the mean time, somewhere on earth, Tony is focus in his studies and become the best engineer in Marvel~
so it becomes, the best detective vs the best engineer....
when it comes to building mass destructive weapons, Tony stomps.
@cameron83 said:
@GodDamnIronMan: indeed.For some reason I just find tony stark more effective for some reason...I can't really imagine batman helping in most league missions,unless they're battling street-levelers or something (I kinda lost respect for batman).
Batman can't help on JLA missions? Does that mean you also think people like Captain America, Hawkeye or Black Widow can't help on Avengers missions? Have you lost respect for all street levelers on teams or are you just for some reason incredibly biased against a fictional character?
@Jack Donaghy: yes...I hate fictional characters.. :/
Shouldn't people like captain america surpass batman in everything (physical) because of the serum,if not,then it doesn't even matter,because DC's justice league is WAY different than the Avengers.Each character of the avengers is "in their own field".Meaning that thor and hulk would be useful for cosmic enemies.Captain america and black widow,while they are street levelers,use way more than strength and fists to win fights.
And black widow is mainly a spy,she would be useful for stealth missions or scout things,etc.
I can't really talk right now,if you wanna argue or discuss this or whatever,just PM me
