    is batman taking age retarding drugs, since either he steals the core lessons or he does them in the span of moths. which is weird because in some of them it is said that he takes years to master them.

    #6  Edited By Axerockstar

    For me, Detective Comics #0 was a real treat as we got to see a fairly large chapter from Bruce's voyage in his early years. Also that bittersweet twist involving Matsuda in the end was truly inglorious.Very poignant. I loved that one.

    @lordofthenorth So by far we have 5 masters down for the New 52 since as per Batman and Robin #6 Bruce mentions that he had 6 masters.

    Don Miguel, Sergei, the Queen, the monk Matsuda, and Henri Ducard.1 remaining.

    I find it utterly stupid that batman only had that many trainers in new 52. He would need so many more to have all the skills he has

    @strongarm: but that's less cool. I like the back story of him traveling the world to learn everything and training with all the best people. And I don't think batman can teach himself all the stuff listed in the OP.

    @jayc1324: he has enough money to fly them over to gotham with a bat-plane, I'd rather him make his own style since he is capable of doing so.

    @strongarm: I guess he could do that for some of them but not all. And he was gone for a few years so might as well make them useful and do more than just train with a few masters. And some of that stuff you have to learn by doing. Like survival techniques for example and hunting and escapology

    While I like the idea of him learning many skills around the world, yet the way Shihan Matsuda was depicted "legendary warrior monk" in detective #0 was pretty cool. Also in the same issue he mentioned that before coming to him he made several stops at paris, london, tibet, afghanistan, japan, and about 5 more. That may have to do with his training elsewhere. Either way, I dont mind If he is learning one specific legendary combat art from this legend monk cuz it does seem pretty badass. Mastering one art is enough than just knowing several ton of them.

    @jayc1324:

    not really, bruce could be an autodidact

    This seems nearly certain. Bruce's level of technical genius as well as a highly adaptive intellect is normally associated with autodidacticism. Da Vinci was an autodidact in his study of everything but art as far as we know, and Bruce's diverse skill set always makes me think of him like a modern equivalent of Da Vinci's mind but turned to other disciplines.
