It is rumored that the Rated-R version with thirty extra minutes will come to theatres. Whether it be for more money, for WB/DC to redeem itself to many people, or to simply show this version. Does the reason matter anyway?

This would be the first time a different version of a cbm comes out after release in theatres (if I'm not mistaken). The question is would you go watch this version? Why or not?

That shows a degree of desperation by WB imo. Its basically them saying 'ok, we know the pg-13 version kind of sucked but here is the version Zack wanted to show at first. Come get an extra 30 min of footage and see it again!'. I think it should just be reserved for a director's cut.

Nope. It's just gonna be more BatPunisher killing criminals and beating up Supes. No thanks.

Yes indeed. Not because of the rating, but because of the 30 minutes cut from the original movie.

Interesting, but I wouldn't watch the same movie twice at the movie theater.

Also I feel like they spent too much time on Lois

Good answer..probably how I'd go, UNLESS the reviews were like "Oh wow, those 30 minutes make all the difference" But I somehow doubt it does.

I doubt it's much different. Probably see some blood, which wasn't shown at all.

But longer movie I'll go.

I doubt it will turn it into a good movie. If Singer was able to cut 20 minutes out of DOFP and still make it a critically acclaimed and successful movie then Snyder should of been able to do the same with BvS.

Nope. Before seeing the movie, I was ready to pre-order the extended edition as soon as it went up and I pre-ordered some expensive merch because I was so stoked for BvS. Now, I don't want anything to do with it. I like Batman and Superman too much to see Justice League because I don't want to see this version of the characters. I'll still see Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern if fans say they're true to the characters, but BvS really just irked me too much on the Batman and Superman end.

I'd buy my ticket in a heartbeat. I've already seen it 4 times in theaters so I'd be more than happy to watch it again with new scenes.

Avatar image for christianrapper

an extra 30 minutes. that movie was long enough. the problem wasn't the pg 13 rating. it was the combination of too many elements. they could have either focused on the batman vs superman thing or the doomsday angle. all the rest was just extra fluff. they should have just left out the bvs angle. that was just dumb.

For everyone saying they can wait for the dvd/blu-ray release. I've read somewhere that it won't be coming out until July or September, the latest.

What say you now?

An extra 30 minutes may make it a more functional movie but that won't change how deeply misguided adn disapointing it's view of the characters are.

Why would anyone subject themselves to three hours of this garbage fire? The nonsense deleted scene they released just shows this three hour cut is going to just be more subplots and random shit that is stringed together around the "plot".
