Batman and Superman duke it out on March 25, 2016 and Empire magazine is showing the split between them in their cover for the September issue of the magazine.

The two heroes from two different worlds are highlighted on this cover, and their alter egos are revealed on the inside. Ben Affleck takes on the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman with Henry Cavill returning as Clark Kent/Superman.

In addition to the two titular characters, Gal Gadot joins the film as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg will play Lex Luthor, and Jason Momoa will play Aquaman. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice comes to theaters on March 25, 2016.

@playswithsquirrels: Gotham looks much more gritty and old fashioned. Metropolis looks more modern and clean, the contrast is clear your looking at the colour of the clouds rather than the city. Also look at Gothams hero then look at Metropolis hero, it's the same thing. Batman looks so much more darker, you can even see blood stains on the legs of his costume on the full image.

Still not sure how to feel about this film. Looks so unnecessarily dark.

@kfabz-23: Just get a give Gotham a good 'ol spit shine and it'll look like Metropolis. I'm not getting any sign of hopefulness from Superman or his city. Metropolis and Superman both need to be injected with a little color.

@playswithsquirrels: are you actually looking at Gotham? The place looks a mess and it's hard to even get hope from Metropolis when we can only see two buildings and Superman. But yeah Metropolis looks way better regardless.

I've never seen actors in a superhero film that were this close to the almost unachievable physique in the comics.

The best we've had is probably Hugh Jackman or Chris Evans.

I'm sure [at least I hope so] that Superman's costume is a tad brighter than Bats'. This film looks as if it will be in black and white. I mean hello, color are you there. Sheesh. Besides to be honest this whole thing about Bat's towering over Superman seems a tad petty. Like is Bats trying to overcompensate for something. The size difference doesn't even look that noticeable, the main reason he looks bigger here is because of the padding. Ah well whatever floats their boat.
