Movie wasnt that good but eben though it was only in select theaters it made 30 mil. Projected to make 150 mil opening weekend.

It was only released in 4,000 theaters.

The weekend numbers will come out on Sunday and we'll see what they are. It needs a second and third strong weekend though if it is going to break $1b.

It'll be interesting to see how it does when the bad word of mouth sets in. I want the movie to do just enough where it breaks even/isn't considered a bomb but to the point where WB realizes they need to re-evaluate things.

Only in select theatres? What? I live in Charlotte and there were at least 30 showings Thursday night between 8+ theatres.

that more theaters than most films get.... A good place to review that kind of information is Boxofficemojo.com , which stated that it was released in 4,242 theaters, to put that in perspective Batman Begins released in only 3,858 theaters.

Thats the site I used actually. The point was to explain that it was a screening, which is to say that it wasn't in theaters everywhere on its first day and still made 30 million. It made over 80 million last night by the way.
