Return Of Bruce Wayne #6: The All-Over

    The Timemasters
    The Timemasters
The final issue of Return of Bruce Wayne is finally here! With the events of issue 5, we know that Bruce Wayne is overwhelmed by Omac like beings that want to help Darkseid destroy the entire world. As Bruce Wayne is here in modern times with his friends and family, will his return bring death to the entire world? The Dark Knight will have to battle this threat before it kills him and the entire world, while Bruce might be done with time traveling for now, time might say otherwise! With Grant Morrison, nothing is ever the actual reason of a story that he's created. With Batgirl artist Lee Garbet and Grant finishing this story arc, join Batman's final adventure before the events of Batman INC (which lands on Wednesday, November 17th, 2010).

    The Good

This is the greatest issue in Return Of Bruce Wayne yet! With Batgirl artist Lee Garbett working with Grant on this issue, it makes this final issue even better. As we all know, Bruce has been traveling through "five" different timelines, in this "six" issue story arc. What was recently found out about Bruce Wayne going through time, it turns out that he has been gaining omega energy from the timelines he's traveled through! This turns out to be the plan that Darkseid thought of in Final Crisis. Send Batman back in time and he will eventually absorb extreme amounts of omega energy until he eventually gets back to modern days and that energy eventually kills everyone on Earth! Grant has done an excellent job with Bruce Wayne and the characters that involve with his entire story line. I think if anyone has done a great job with Batman and his character, it is Grant Morrison. The story played through like expected, and eventually we see Bruce Wayne wearing his Bat-suit getting ready to help Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne fight, Dr. Hurt and the Joker!

    The Bad

I didn't like how Grant had Superman in this issue. Originally I was okay with Superman being in the Timemasters team in Return Of Bruce Wayne #1-2, however since J. Michael Straczynski's "Grounded" Story arc, it seems that the time between these two stories don't fit together with one another.

    The Verdict

The Return of Bruce Wayne story arc has been an adventure for all Batman readers. With Grant Morrison finally complete with this story arc, he will now be focusing on Batman INC. Get ready for the future of crime fighting, because now Bruce is the Dark Knight of the world! Overall this is a 5 out of 5.

Grant Morrison is acclaimed because he is one of the few writers who really push the medium to its potential. Part of the reason he can do this is because of his knowledge in the Occult.   There will always be three types of readers that walk away from a Grant Morrison story: (1) Those that had no idea what happened and did not like it, (2) Those that had no idea or little idea what really happened but enjoyed the story and (3) those who understand the messages between the lines.   With Gr...

The Good: Oh my god does Lee Garbett's art look fantastic. It also just has some kind of quality that makes it extremely fitting for the final issue. Part of that might be that he did the art in Last Rites right after R.I.P. It explains everything. No really, it explains EVERYTHING. And in a great pace as well. The entire truth behind Darkseid's plan turns into an amazingly badass thing. I absolutely loved it. It gave me the same creeping epic shivers that Batman #702 did. Grant Morrison manages...
