The other day I was at the store and felt like buying something Joker related. (First time I actually WANTED to buy a non-indy comic, or a superhero comic for that matter, if you don't consider Hellboy one, which I don't.) I was gonna get the Killing Joke...but they didn't have it. So I got this. And I like it.The first thing about it is that in a nutshell, the story is generic. Joker targets and kills people. I absolutely loved this, I think its one of the best Joker comics I've read so far. While I am new to the comic book world, I have already read a few that deal with the midnight killings where the victim is surrounded by police but still fall prey to the groteque smile as they fall dead on the floor as the clock strikes 12 but this was by far the best. Bruce Wayne is on the Jokers hitlist and SPOILER ALERT yes his face does turn into the Joker's which I thought was fantastic as I've never seen ...

A worthy companion to The Killing Joke 0
The Man Who Laughs is another Joker tale... and after Alan Moore's The Killing Joke, making a good one is one hell of a task. This book will automatically be compared to the classic Joker story, but even so, it holds up. Basically, The Man Who Laughs is about the first time Batman and Joker ever tangled, and is loosely based upon Jokers first appearance in Detective Comics way back...
