A day to celebrate a years worth of labor
After a years worth of labor the team of Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale is setting in motion the grand finally for "Punishment", the last issue of this mini-series. Like how God took 6 days to make the world and the 7th was rest, this issue symbolically is the start of this new world in which Loeb and Sale has created and it starts MONDAY September 1st.
We see Two-Face emerge from the sewer like Harvey Dent was a caterpillar and Two-Face is the butterfly morphed to his new form. All the plot threads come together in this issue leaving the room for an exciting ending. The only concern I have is in "Real-Time" if we see how Holiday is at the end of this issue the time-line to this coming Halloween is about 60 days away and I feel that we as a reader are not suppose to notice that.
Overall I have really enjoyed re-reading the Long Halloween in style of its seasonal serialization. I would recommend either way to read this series, either in one-shot in the trade or as a holiday treat for the respected day. I've enjoyed this full year of review and will be sad when I post the last one this coming October. Thank you for reading them a long the way.
Cheers
