    Meandering Along 2

I'll do a standard CV review for this issue. The Good: I like the fact that this book tends to be the one that most explicitly ties the Batman universe together. In this issue they mention the Dollmaker episode from Detective Comics. And they mention that Ivy is in Birds of Prey. It also ties into the fact that Batman is in the Justice League. It's good to see that level of cohesion that's sometimes missing in DC titles (as opposed to Marvel). This issue also has some good detective work. So far,...

    Hope Springs Eternal 0

The Story: Batman continues his investigation and his race to find a cure to the toxin Flash and himself were exposed to.  My Thoughts:David Finch and Paul Jenkins have quietly been molding an under-appreciated Batman series that seems to be a little misunderstood. I think a lot of people feel this series revolves and relies on shock value. Either that or they feel all these Batman villains are being forced into the story. In my opinion they don't feel forced. I think many of them are pawns in a...

    KnightFall Into Failure 0

The Good: One thing this series does do better than the rest of the Batman series' is acknowledge the wider continuity of the DCU, what with the various Bat-Family members fighting in the last issue, and the mentioning of Batman Incorporated in the first issue, and the absence of Poison Ivy in this issue due to her presence on the Birds of Prey. Davind FInch's art. It's pretty damn cool. The surprise villain from the second half of the issue is quite unexpected, so I won't spoil it, but the figh...

    Batman: The Dark Knight # 4 0

This book has been a huge run around as investigating whom is behind these super villains with hulk venom serum. The Flash who made a appearance the previous issue is not at really involved in the 4th issue. See a cameo appearance of Wonder Woman, not sure if she is going to be involved in this arc I fell it's more like a commercial add for her book. I don't mind it, I actual like it. I love some of the action scenes as there surprise attacks from some unexpected villains. I never would have tho...

This is what you were afraid of 0

This series has been coming under fire a fair amount for not being one of the best of the DC relaunch, and while I have liked this series thus far, it is easy to see why people are thinking this about it.  This issue alone might highlight the main problems here.  For many years Batman co-existed between two series, Detective Comics for the thinking reader and the main Batman title for something focusing on more action based elements.  These two existed as such for a long time and many Batman ser...

    Not too bad 0

I like this issue because it has Batman doing some good detective work. I find that Ivy was sort of unnessesary. I mean each issue has had a new villian in it, then the villian gets one page of action. I think Ivy may have been unnessesary as we did not see her at all and the next few issues don't futher any story with her. I do like the writing though I just feel that with all of these villians the series feels overcrowded....
