This series has been coming under fire a fair amount for not being one of the best of the DC relaunch, and while I have liked this series thus far, it is easy to see why people are thinking this about it.  This issue alone might highlight the main problems here.  For many years Batman co-existed between two series, Detective Comics for the thinking reader and the main Batman title for something focusing on more action based elements.  These two existed as such for a long time and many Batman ser...

The Good: One thing this series does do better than the rest of the Batman series' is acknowledge the wider continuity of the DCU, what with the various Bat-Family members fighting in the last issue, and the mentioning of Batman Incorporated in the first issue, and the absence of Poison Ivy in this issue due to her presence on the Birds of Prey. The Story: Batman continues his investigation and his race to find a cure to the toxin Flash and himself were exposed to.  My Thoughts:David Finch and Paul Jenkins have quietly been molding an under-appreciated Batman series that seems to be a little misunderstood.
