    Ears asunder 1

This issue is a little bit all over the place but in the end is fairly well held together.  It deals with Batman's ongoing attempt to find the source of the fearlessness among the supervillains of Gotham.  There were some high points and low points here.  For high the handling of the Joker and the ensuing fight was clever enough, and even though it is a common enough plot device in Bat titles, it still worked well here.  The hunt for the source of the toxin was also good.  As for the not so good...

Art - The line art is well done and intelligently uses variation in details to set the mood of each and every panel. The colors likewise are excellent, complimenting the lines rather than working against them like plenty of other titles. Overall the art of this book is a nice combination is simplicity and high detail.Story - The story of this issue is not well done. It lacks depth and suspense and wastes characters. The writer constantly sets things up to be hints for the reader, but within a pa...

"Now Lie Back And Relax. This Hurts." 0

Synopsis   Carrying on from the events on the train from last issue, Batman gets closer to solving the mysterious toxin as White Rabbit gets closer to him! The Good   I did like the twist following the ending of last issue. Sure, some people may call it clichéd, but I thought it was done well. I especially like the double page "opening titles" spread. I don't want to reveal it, but it's dynamic as it is sort of grotesque. I l do like the way Finch draws this supervillain in action!  White Rabbit...

Snared By The White Rabbit 0

The Story: The White Rabbit continues to toy with the Dark Knight. Batman follows a lead that points to Poison Ivy. My Thoughts:Being the huge Batman fan I am, I've been following this series monthly since its inception. While I must admit, the direction this series is taking has eluded me. I've seen no clear distinction on a variety of things from this creative team. Now that doesn't mean it hasn't been good fun so far. With this issue I was hoping to get a better understanding of what the poin...

    Exploitation and.... More Exploitation 1

The Good: Finch's art is still cool yo.As the issue began, I thought I had borne witness to some absolutely horrendous Joker dialogue. Lo and behold, it was part of a very effective plot twist."Bruce Wayne means nothing to me." A hauntingly true statement. Good acknowldgement of BoP continuity. The Bad: This issue starts pretty much exactly the same way the last issue did.Using The Flash seemed like such a ridiculous cop out. Batman stories tend to be great because of his refusal to rely on other...

    Batman: The Dark Knight 0

Batman The Dark Knight # 3David Finch pulls this story in a upward direction. I have to say I am enjoying this series more by this third issue. Seems like there’s a mysterious White Rabbit running around and causing trouble for Batman. At first I thought she was a new replacement girl friend for the Joker. But it’s much more sweeter surprise for us. We just have to wait for what’s in store for this character. Paul Jenkins art work is spectacular. From the first issue this book has gotten a lot b...

OK, maybe this is going somewhere 0

This issue picks up where the last one left off. Overall, of the four Batman series, I'm really enjoying this one the least, but I liked this issue a bit more than the other two. Maybe it's because he does a little bit more detective work. What I don't like is that the main villainess is either extremely obvious or a really strangely done misdirection. I do wonder if my general dislike for her is being sown by CV podcast's distaste for the White Rabbit and the fact that she's meant to be a chees...
