    Superman's new old friend

You can treat this issue primarily as Superman learning about what happened to Batman and how that affects their relation, and secondly as a continuation to his Truth storyline (which by the way you dont have to read or know anything about to understand this one)

The issue follows Superman tracking some bad guys that were sent to kill him to Gotham, getting in some trouble there and asking for the help of an old friend only to discover his horrific fate; that scene with Superman reflecting was the best part of the book and his talk with Alfred albeit short was great. There were other good moments of Superman with Lex or Lois but those didnt contribute much to the Batman/Superman relation storyline but were good to see

My only complain is that it looked like they took the 8 page Convergence preview right out from this issue, thus making it feel like some pages were missing
