Ice and Fire
The unnatural quake that destroyed Gotham city is over, but the real trouble is just beginning, which is rebuilding the city and avoiding that criminals and super villains take control and make easy money out of this situation - amidst the thoughts of pain, fear and the lot of work that´ll demand on rebuilding Gotham, Batman faces himself with the task of aprehending Freeze, who just bailed out after the quake, and defeat his long time no see foe the original Clayface - this is a two story issue, the first featuring Batman, Freeze, Clayface and a regular citizen named Walter Smith, who´s on the edge of comitting suicide, and the second story, penciled by the amazing Norm Breyfogle, is about this same citizen, taking place after the shockwave - I really enjoyed this issue, though it was tainted by some bad dialogues and remarks involving Freeze, Clayface and Batman and I couldn´t understand the fact that Batman trapped Walter in a place (in the first page), then it seemed like the whole action unraveled in this same place, it was a little confusing not to say it was a continuity flaw - the best thing about this issue were the tributes of Buckingham to artists that made a great run in the Batman career, naming places after them (like Jim Aparo, Norm Breyfogle and others).
