Malochia, a criminally insane man who thought he was a prophet, escaped Arkham. Strange, unexplained deaths began popping up in cult fashion across the city. A man calling himself Fate fell into the Batmobile. He and Batman teamed up against the suspected Armageddon. They were attacked by stone horsemen atop a building.
