BatWatch Review: Batman, Incorporated #9 2

Fallen SonWhat can be said in preparation of this issue that has not already been stated? We lost Damian which most in the Bat community feel to be a tragic loss of a beloved character. I count myself among that number, yet I'm willing to wait see where Morrison (former writer of Rebellion's 2000AD and Batman and current writer of Batman, Incorporated and Action Comics) and the other Bat writers plan to take the story before I cry foul. It's already led to some powerful stories of loss most not...

Funeral for a Fallen Son 0

Whew. Now we get to an actual Bat-comic that feels like a "Requiem" issue. But does it deliver? Well, Nightwing steals the show. Seriously, he does. He has a very realistic reaction to seeing Damian lying there dead. Just plain disbelief, that turns into anger focused on Damian's killer. Even at the funeral, he is the one pushing Bruce to say something, to what would probably have been total silence if he didn't. Squire, watching the funeral of her own partner from afar, decides to take up the ...

Does anyone care Robin's gone?! 0

No matter how much I read this series I just can’t get over Chris Burnham’s painful style. I mean come on this is a Batman story and that means A-list artist should be on this book. I hate how the characters always have rounded faces and it just distracts me from the story. The story isn’t much better here either because there barely is any Batman grieving and instead we see this “pissed off” Batman if that is what you can call it. I just feel like Batman seemed mad but at the same time it felt ...

This Review is filled with Spoilers! The GoodYet again, Artist Chris Burnham has done a fantastic job with this story, his art is spectacularly good and throughout the entire series has maintained a very high standard. Another good point to this issue is just how Morrison manages to portray the characters, seeing Dick's reaction to Damian's sudden death was good but emotionally really struck at your heart, and it stayed true to the character. One of my favourite things about the Batman inc. serie...

    Burying a Son 0

This has been a very good series, and I've really been enjoying what Grant Morrison's been doing with the series, and have found it much better than the previous Batman, Incorporated series. It's not always been brilliant, but it has been good, and after recent shocking events (not too shocking it was on the cover) I was really looking forward to this issue.PlotBatman (Bruce Wayne) and Nightwing (Dick Grayson) battle The Heretic, and Bruce buries his son, Damian Wayne.ReviewThis was a brilliant ...
