The Wrath of Mighty Lord Death Man!

I just gotta say it....BRUCE IS BACK! and looking awesome as ever! thanks to the wonderful pencil work by Yanick Paquette(I'm a fan of his work, but it's ok if you disagree). Where to start, well Grant Morrison jumps straight into the next phase of Batman's crime fighting career, by picking following Bruce's venture to bring the "Batman" to the global public, in other words Bruce is setting up a global network of Batmen, much like to the effect of the club of heroes in previous batman stories. Candidate number one on the list is Mr. Unknown who is the local top crimebuster in Tokyo, Who sort of resembles a mix of Zorro and ninja. In the first few pages we see that there is something very wrong in Tokyo and Batman will have his work cut out for him in training the "new" Batman. Now after that very very brief summary  of what is being set up in Batman Inc. I think it's safe to say that I feel that the direction the Batman legacy is going, is defiantly an interesting one, there seems to be no shortage of colorful and pshychotic Grant Morrisson can dig up from the past, yes the villain that appears in this issue was one of those throw away villains for back in the day, but boy can Morrison make a colorful villain, Lord Death Man sure loves his Hydrochloric acid.   however aside from that, it is interesting as to the objectives of the villains in this issue, in which on one hand they are setting out to destroy all the heroes in tokyo and we have Bruce trying to do the opposite, it defiantly gives a broader picture as to the potential of creating new and reviving old characters can add depth to a title thats been around 70 plus years. Overall i felt that the art was very ell done, Paquette's style of using high contrast in lighting really sets the mood for this new phase of the Dark Knight. And Story wise it is really great in the sense that it is very straight forward as to the intent of what Bruce is trying to accomplish. It isn't quite as surreal as Morrison's previous works, which some may like or not, either way I am hooked, and am going to need my Morrison/ Paquette/Batman fix every month or else i really might just go crazy, dye my hair green, bleach my skin and wear lipstick. totally check this out! 5 out of 5 Awesomes

Batman, Inc. Open for Business 0

Grant Morrison, grand poobah of all things Dark Knight, brought us the newest chapter of the saga of Bruce Wayne this week. Batman, Inc. is the latest ongoing series, and probably the most talked about this year. Bruce Wayne revealed to the world last week that he is the Batman's "mysterious benefactor," and as such he believes the mission driving the world's finest detective should be taken global. Now Bruce travels the globe, training foreign crime-fighters up to be their countries' "Batman". ...
