    Making Batman Inc.

This series overall has been better than the last one as it doesn't jump about as much and we actually know who Leviathan is now. I liked how in this issue we have Frazer Irving on art which is a nice change as his art is amazing, although Burnham has been doing a good job in the other issues.

This issue is basically a retelling of how Batman Incorporated came together and how Batman recruited members. He starts off by talking to the Wayne Enterprise board members about the positives that would come out of backing Batman Inc. Also during the presentation he outs Mr. Treadwell, one of the board members for embezzling funds, accepting bribes and falsifying records. Batman (which I assume is Dick dressed as Batman) and Robin are there to escort him to the police station. The rest of the issue is Batman and other members already recruited going about the world recruiting other vigilante superheroes to Batman Incorporated including Knight and Squire, Man of Bats, Raven, Gaucho, Ravil and others.

This was an alright issue and nothing more. The reason I say that is because it doesn't tell us anything we don't already know. The only reason I give it a 3.5 and not a 3 is cause of the art from Irving which deserves an extra 0.5. I, however, think this will be a good issue for new readers to the Batman Inc. series as it means they don't have to trail through the last series to see how it came together. I like how Robin is involved in the bringing together of Batman Inc. this time as he has been a main character in the new series so far.

Final verdict. This is a good issue but nothing startling. I would recommend it to people who haven't read the previous series that don't really want to as this issue tells you in summary what you need to know from the first series. I would advise people who have read the first series, unless you are an avid collector (like me), to leave this as in some respects it can be seen as a waste of $2.99.

    Rating: 3.5/5

THE GOOD: The art is interesting and different from what you see in most series. There are probably a lot of people who like the art for it's uniqueness and the simplicity of it, some probably don't enjoy it as much. The story is, well, everywhere. Bruce Wayne talking to the Wayne Enterprise board really makes you grasp the need for Batman Inc, something that a couple people haven't been able to get. Seeing him recruit people is interesting because of how different they are.   THE BAD: The art d...

The Psychotic Perspective: Batman Incorporated #0 0

Brand BuildingBatman Incorporated is a very interesting idea, and it has been dreamt up and written by the creator that many comic fans consider the pinnacle of Batman writers. I do not share this view, but I do find Morrison’s writing be very good though perhaps a little bit more scatterbrained than ideal. As a whole, Batman Incorporated has been pretty well executed, but the last issue frustrated me by focusing almost purely on Batman to the detriment of his supporting cast. Does Batman Incorp...
