SHORT AND TO THE POINT: Batman Beyond #4

    STORY:
A lot of significant "issues" were addressed in this issue and the result was a great issue.

THINGS THAT HAPPEN IN THIS ISSUE:

    MY EXPERIENCE:
It felt nice seeing Max getting a bigger role in the story. Things were happening the entire issue. I wasn't able to catch a breath until the end of the issue.

    ART:
I enjoy it. Fits the look of the Universe very well. Possibly better then the animated show.

    DIALOGUE:
Not too much to say. It was all pretty strait forward.

    COVER:
Excellent. Great cover that summarizes the story in the book. I liked the morse code. It fits well with Max' character.

    PROBLEMS:
My one and only problem is the continuity. Im confused now. Is this the future of the Animated Universe or of the current DC Universe? Batman Inc. was mentioned and the Unternet. There were many differences i thought would make this the Animated future. Barbra Gordan not in a wheelchair and Dick Grayson never becoming Batman. I almost gave this issue a 3 for that very reason. But i liked this issue either way.

    FINAL SCORE: 4/5

    NEW READER FRIENDLY?
    Sure.

EXTRA: This issue reveals that it isnt the future of the Animated Universe but the future of the current DC Universe. :(

There were deaths and we saw the Beyond versions of a few of Batman's former villains. With this new ongoing series, the first three issues had a lighter feel closer to the animated series. Not necessarily a bad thing but I wanted more darkness and more characters from Batman's past. With Dick Grayson being accused of formerly being Nig...
