The direction is on point. 2
I like seeing the whole network working together to keep Gotham from completely falling apart and I enjoy seeing Dick and Tim debate about the Batman legacy. It looks like in the end Dick will take up the mantle, but he's not there yet. The events in this issue and the next tow will force him over the edge it look like. I like that. the story is moving well so far. And the evolution of Nightwing into Batman is moving nicely. Seeing how he reacts to being saved by a Batman imposter will be ...

Excellent Storyline 0
This was very good! The story was good and it makes you wonder what happens next.Many gotham heroes in this issue such as nightwing,robin,wildcat.black canary,huntress,catwoman etc.Also, what else makes it good is all the chaos in Gotham and how many heroes try to stop but cant seem to stop all of it.Well what i must say this is a great book and im looking foward to reading the next two issues and the crossovers....

Tony Daniel proves he's more than a great artist (spoilers) 0
I have to admit being skeptical going into Battle for the Cowl. Its striking parallels to the aftermath of Superman's death in the 90's made me a bit reluctant to give it a chance, but I'm very pleasantly surprised with this first of three issues that anchor the BFTC crossover story. Tony Daniel's artwork is still as impressive as it was during his tenure with Grant Morrison on Batman: RIP, but in this issue his writing is what really made this comic an enjoyable experience. In this issue we see bascally every one of Batmans sattelite characters are trying to regain control of Gotham City. At the same time, someone is beating the crap out of bad guys and in some case killing them dressed as Batman. The Following events of Batman RIP and Final Crisis, Battle of the Cowl was an Epic Series for who shall be the Next Batman, knowing already that Batman is no more. Now all the pressure is on Dick Grayson whether is he worthy should he be the next Batman, or is Batman him self is still alive.
