Unscripted: Batman And Robin #12
The last page definitely was a big-time moment. Who Sexton turned out to be was always my guess, but it was still a pretty cool moment. I can't wait to see what happens next.
In general, last week was pretty good for the Bat-family.
This was an awesome issue, and the last page was a surprise for me! I need a little help though...
I am very new to the DCU (within a year kind of new). I'm trying to get caught up as best I can, but there is obviously a lot of history! So I read the Batman R.I.P hardcover to try and get the death of Bruce story, but I felt like that book didn't tell everything (it made it look like he died in a helicopter explosion?). Digging on the Vine here lead me to the Final Crisis hardcover where Bruce gets hit with the omega beams, causing this lost in time story. I guess my question is, what really happened? How do the Batman R.I.P and Final Crisis stories fit together? Or do they at all?

Batman R.I.P. > Then there's the Batman #682, #683 >> Final Crisis. The fit together part comes in 682 and 683. It bridges the gap.
I think Gman payed to much to the quakes in No Man's Land when it will likely be ignored.
The reveal makes absolute perfect sense in RIP that character who Oberon is hated members of the Black Glove and said that he would not serve them so a vendetta was started. Then we see Oberon travel the world hunting the Domino Killer who was killing The Black Glove the reveal is that he was not hunting the killer, he was the killer.
Return of Bruce Wayne on sale this week!
Looking at Dick's chin on the cover. He looks like he's sixty.
The identity of Oberon SERIOUSLY makes me question Dick's ability to be Batman. As far as detective abilities go.
@mrduckluck:
That was kind of my thoughts as well. Dick and Damian certainly didn't help matters if he didn't.
I've not been following this, but was pulled in when someone edited the Oberon Sexton page with the major reveal at the end... Not the first time that moderating pages has accidentally spoiled something for me. But as I'm not a Batman & Robin fan then I'm not that bothered :p
I have a feeling that the 'name' and look of the character will be used again in future, much like how the name Red Hood or Red Robin has been used by different people.
For the time being I think we should keep the Oberon Sexton page, but it might have to be deleted in future as a 'dupe'...
I was completely shocked when I figured out the true identity of Oberon Sexton the Gravedigger and I lost all respect for Talia when I figured out what she was doing.
Its kind of funny. Last Batman and Robin I think i said the Oberon Sexton reminded me of the Red Hood (the original). And in this issue, it ends up being the same person.
i dont like peeking through comics im going to buy. i would rather be surprised all the way through. =]
I've been following Batman and ALL bat books ( except Azrael) for like 10 years and i am loving this stuff 100%
to all those who don't know and have been enjoying Grants run I've been checking out this comic blog ( not mine ) it really goes into detail about well every detail that you may of missed while reading

I have been looking for titlts to drop so i can keep my costs down. Batman and Robin will NOT be one of those.
Not sure how i feel about who Sexton is, i was really liking him and now ............ But maybe there will be more d uality with the ..guy who is Sexton.
G-Man, were you really surprised at the reveal of Sexton? For me, his true name pretty much fell to two characters and he was one of them. It made perfect sense concerning his history with the Black Glove, his familiarity with Batman, and seems to be a homage to another famous Batman story (in another universe).
All I can say is that the big reveal makes me so happy. *sniffs with tears of joy.*
Oberon is @ Babs
@G-man
I hated Damian in Batman and Son and i have a few questions do you think Booster Gold will be effected and what is up with Grant Morrison HATING TIM DRAKE ANYONE i need answers plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"I KNOW, RIGHT?! I mean, THAT is the shocking thing about it to me. THAT is what dropped my jaw. However, the question is whether or not Morrison acknowledges this at all!!!"I cant believe he was the joker that means that the joker knows who bruce wayne really is?
Andy Clarke's artwork for the most part is brilliant, however I agree with Babs in how he draws Talia. And was it just me, or does Slade look 16? When I read issue 11 and Slade was the reveal at the end of that chapter, I thought it was his son or something. Aside from that weirdness, this chapter and overall story really came together for me in this issue. Not to mention the "big reveal" at this chapter's conclusion. At first, I was definitely like, "Holy ####!" A bit later I thought, "Yeah! Of course that's who Oberon was. I'm reading Batman here. Matt, you're an idiot." If there is one thing about Batman you can never overlook, it's the identity of Oberon Sexton.
I hate the way Andy Clarke draws Talia, she looks so UGLY. But, I'm not letting Frank Quitely off the hook either; what in the world is going on with Dick's jaw on the cover??
