DC has announced the next artist on Batman And Robin after Philip Tan.  It will be Cameron Stewart, known for his work on Catwoman and Seaguy (from Vertigo).  No word on how many issues he will do or when Frank Quitely will return.

Are you familiar with Stewart's work?  Do you think the series is in safe hands?  Check out an upcoming cover (issue #7, I believe) to see what he's capable of.

They said Frasier Irving was the next artist months ago, strange. It's cool that we may see The Knight and Squire again.

Wow take a look at Dick as Batman it looks like Cameron Stewart has the mood of the book based on Dick and Squire's faces. It might match the tone of the latest Circus of Strange arc which was very colorfull but twisted. I think that Philip Tan's arc will be more gritty and will have the tone of a normal Batbook based on his style so someone like Stewarts will be more like a Batman cartoon.

the batman art is great, the robin art is great and i'm sure stewart will be great. I have loved all 3 issues so far and i hope stewart can keep these standards going - he shouldn't be under-estimated. However, i will miss quitley as the artist.

It feels like a cartoon but it will be interesting if the story line is somewhat twisted

Cameron Stewart is a brilliant artist, with a history of working with Morrison. He worked on the Guardian Series for the Seven Soliders, and I can't really articulate how good he is at setting the mood with more than creative panels and movements, as well as facial features. He's not Quietly, and rightly so, we don't want DC turning into what Marvel nearly did under Jemas, Homogenised dross.

I'm glad Cameron Stewart is on the art duties. It'll cement my reading even more.

It's not Damian, it's Squire (unless there's something we don't know about).

I think the the cartoony colors and less emphasis on gritty realism, may be a nice pair depending on the story.  Quitely was def perfect for the first arc the gruesome nature of his art complemented the "horror" story that was Prof. Pyg.

Basically I see this being pretty cool if the book continues being deliciously weird.
