Robin is dead, but not for long! (Pt.4): Hellbound

Batman is on Apokolips [alone] looking for Damian and the Chaos Crystals. Meanwhile, the Bat-family is looking for a way to follow Batman to Apokolips.

Writer Peter J. Tomasi and artist Patrick Gleason did another outstanding job with this issue! Gleason's art is always something to be in awe about, as he always knows how to capture the characters perfectly and make looking at the book as fun as reading it. His cover for this issue was menacing and did a great job at capturing the Hellbat suit. In short, Gleason is just one of the best artist that is currently working on a Batman series!

Writer Peter J. Tomasi's story for this issue was, good. Though not great. This issue did the ground work for the better, more exciting, issues to come from this story arc. While there was a very emotional and awe-inspiring response from Tomasi's prior issues, specifically the ones that insisted of Batman preparing to go to Apokolips, this one did not get the same response. In contrast, this issue focused on getting Red Hood, Batgirl, Red Robin, and Cyborg on Apokolips to help Batman. In all honesty, this could've been easily done in a prior issue with two or four pages. Tomasi just really dragged this issue out with finding a way for the other heroes to get to Batman, and it wasn't all that interesting. This issue could've gone a whole different way, and been much better than what it is.

In conclusion, Robin Rises: Omega is an excellent story arc to be reading. There haven't been many errors so far, just primarily with this one. I recommend you try one of the previous issues first, before getting into the story fully. Because with all the traffic towards Batman: Eternal and/or Futures End you might have had enough of Batman and friends (and all the drama that they've created recently.) 3 out of 5.

Robin is dead, but Batman is hellbent on bringing him back from the grave! Written by Peter J. Tomasi, you don't want to miss out on this series!

      Great 0

Since Robin Rises:Omega this comic arc has been going strong. This issue is no different from what I seen since the start, Amazing. The only thing I saw coming was Batman's receiving back up but still a great issue. Batman is strictly business and more then average. He is staying true to his mission to bring Damian back and no one is stopping him in his armor. His Back Up had to use some dishonesty to get there. One of my favorite parts was the homage to the Robin legacy. Like I said great issu...
