No more stupid costume for Red Hood 3

Batman and Robin are on a mission to save Red Hood.  The GoodThe issue starts off a bit slow with supporting DC villains I could care less about, but this issue is a lot more than that. There's a lot of great character development with Jason "Red Hood" Todd. Just within the few fight scenes we see, we understand how his mind works and what kind of person he is. I really enjoyed the slight banter between Dick and Jason as well. Both characters understand how each other works in battle, and they h...

Dick, Damian and Jason Go! 3

Judd Winick is back with a quick artist change for Batman and Robin Cover Meh, never going to be above the fire place but it is passable Plot  SPOILER WARNING: Click here to reveal hidden content. So, Jason has been busted out of prison while in transit for an unknown person by a group of anthropomorphic animals calling themselves Menagerie. Jason being his usual self decides he would rather leave without them and begins a fight. With Jason getting losing, Batman and Robin come to take him from ...

They Really Should Have Just Used the New Look on the Covers 1

The entertainingly tense team-up between Red Hood, Batman and Robin begins this issue. Judd Winick continues to impress with his definitive take on Jason Todd, and the biggest disappointing with this issue is knowing that it will be followed by only one more issue of this story arc.  Jason has been busted from prison custody by the Menagerie, a group of animal-themed metahumans that come off as slightly too silly and even gimmicky for this story. However, that is easily overlooked as Winick hand...

Huh, I actually preferred the intro to this arc 0

Kinda weird seeing where this is going.  I almost feel like the action is going to be rushed in the next issue since it'll be 3/3.  I really liked issue #23 more.  I think it was partially the art style and partially the content.  With this issue the art was so surreal I wasn't sure if that was supposed to represent The Red Hood's frame of mind or something.  Things got a bit muddy during the fight because of it.  But not too bad.  I am curious to see how it ends.  I'm glad that Dick is going ba...

    Batman & Robin #24 0

Judd Winick returns with the 2nd part of a 3 part story arc. Jason Todd is broken out of jail on his way back to Arkham by The Menagerie, a team of half animal and half human beings.  First off, I am not a huge Jason Todd fan, but I really enjoyed last issue (which I reviewed here), this one, however, not so much. The first thing that kind of threw me off was the switch in artists. Last issue we had some really great art by Guillem March and Andrei Bresson, in this issue Greg Tucchini takes over...

    Definitely disappointed. 0

Batman and Robin #24 Hmmm I have to say this issue disappointed me. This arc looked promising but this issue kind of ruined it for me. Hopefully next issue will be better but let's get to the review. SOOOOOO remember those Thundercat people I talked about in my last Batman and Robin review....well yeah there still there and Jason starts a street fight with them. He starts to lose and Dick and Damian come to rescue Jason (how cliche can you get?). Well apparently very. Jason turns on Damian and D...

Review: Batman and Robin #24 0

Jason Todd has been takin out of police coustody by a group for hire. Does he welcome their assistance or is he going to kick their ass?  THE GOOD: The art was okay. The story is amazing! I love seeing Jason Todd back and I'm glad that he will be in a series coming in September. I like this issue because you get to see what Jason is thinking and I love his view of the world. Seeing Jason kick butt is a really cool and exciting thing for a Jason Todd fan. I loved seeing Jason Todd talk about how ...

    Three Robins United 0

I love me some Jason Todd. He's the ugly duckling of the Bat Family and as such one of my favorite DC characters. In the pages of this series, he's been fleshed out beautifully and has become a really cool force for vengeance and violent vigilantism. So right there, that's enough to make me pick up the issue and get back on board with the Batman titles. Now, let me say right away, I don't care for Winnick. He's written some things I frankly did not like at all, but I also give credit where it's ...
