    End game.

My review for, Batman #32. Batman and Riddler face off one last time!

    The Good

    A battle of wits!
    A battle of wits!

In this issue, Batman and Riddler face off, in a battle of wits! With Gotham City hanging in the balance, Batman has to outsmart the Riddler, before missiles bring Gotham to an end! This is the last issue of the Zero Yearstory arc by writer Scott Snyder, and I believe that he did a great job with testing Batman mentally. I enjoyed seeing Scott Snyder really push Batman, and make him realize that, he won't be facing criminals that are in it for money. Instead, Batman will be facing criminals, like Riddler, that just want to prove they are superior. That is what this issue, and Zero Year, has shown me during this time. The evolution of Batman slowly realizing that fact, of facing superior criminals, has really pushed him to think outside of the box and move him into a position to the Batman we know and love today. So the story of having Riddler in control of Gotham City, and having Batman have flashbacks of his past that relate to thissituation with the Riddler, is really amazing on Scott Snyder's part. I liked seeing more of Bruce's past, and how choices in his life, before becoming Batman, shaped him to think small and unprepared for the unusual. Scott Snyder did an outstanding job with this issue, and really kept things interesting, even though we [the readers] knew that Batman would come out on top at the end. I'm always amazed when I see a writer accomplish a goal like that!

    The Bad

    No complaints.

    The Verdict

5 out of 5. Next review, Batman #34.

The conclusion to Zero Year is here and as many of you know I haven't been a fan of this story arc from the beginning of it but for the last few issues things have been heating up. I mean things looked like there actually was some threat not just big talks from Snyder and in the end I really started liking his Eddie Nigma a.k.a the Riddler. He had that vibe that made him into a good villain who at the same time doesn't shine and pretend to be that big as many of the others like Two-Face,Penguin...

Batman #33 Review - Zero Year Comes To A Close 0

First off, all I have to say is thank God, Zero Year is FINALLY over. Don't get me wrong, I've loved Zero Year a lot, but at some point, as pretty much everyone has pointed out by now, it got to where it was dragging on a lot and we were like "Ugh, this is so good, but can we get to the end already?!" And I know, that might sound like I'm contradicting myself, but that's how I feel. This story-line has lasted for 13 months. Now, it's had a great three-arc structure, and I'm glad that it ultimate...
