Criminal Mastermind with an Umbrella 0

This is already the third week of Villains Month and we have been blessed with many great stories in which the villains take center-stage. Now it's Penguin's turn to prove his worth. Warning: this review might contain some spoilers. The GoodWriter Frank Tieri shows us a story of Penguin’s exploits to maintain his share of control over Gotham. This means that Penguin has already established himself as a criminal lord right at the start. Early on in the issue Governor Carter Winston starts a crusa...

Penguin Absolutely Rocks It Here. 0

This review originally went up on my blog here. There have been two rather lackluster Batman Villain’s Month issues so far, Joker by Andy Kubert and Riddler by Scott Snyder (plot) and Ray Fawkes (script). They were also two of most highly anticipated issues for this month, so it kind of stings a little bit. Penguins might get bullied, but they always get the last laugh! 0

Penguin seems like a c-list Batman villain, am I right? He's got no special abilities except his bird hobby, right? Well, if you think those things know that YOU might be the Penguin's next target. He always wins in the end. Written by Frank Tieri with artwork by Christian Duce. The GoodThis is the best .1 issue from the BATMAN title so far. We've had Joker's origin played with a bit (that didn't turn out well) and we also had a story about the Riddler. It was better than Joker's .1, but still ...
